Square Enix announced two Final Fantasy VII Remake books that will be released in 2022 in English. The two books are titled FFVII Traces of Two Pasts which will be released on November 9, 2022, and FFVII Material Ultimania Plus which will be released on December 13, 2022.

FFVII Traces of Two Past was first released in Japan in July 2021. This book was written by Kazushige Nojima who is also one of the writers on the Final Fantasy VII Remake. This book focuses on Tifa and Aerith's past which shows how both of them became strong women.

Meanwhile, FFVII Material Ultimania Plus will focus on the story of Yuffie Kisaragi as seen in the Intermission side story. Interestingly, this book features a lot more content than those in the game.
