Steam has finally launched the first-ever Steam Black Friday 2025, an inaugural event running from November 25 to December 1, 2025. Although the community usually waits for the Autumn Sale in late November, this year Valve moved the schedule earlier.

The reason is clear: the Autumn Sale and Winter Sale have been far too close to each other for the past two years. In 2024, the Autumn Sale ended on December 4 and was only 11 days apart from the Winter Sale starting on December 15.

That decision led to something new—the very first Black Friday Sale in Steam’s history. While not as massive as the Autumn or Winter Sale, this event lasts only one week and doesn’t offer Points Shop bonuses, trading cards, or special discovery queue activities. However, that doesn’t mean the discounts are disappointing.

One of the most striking offers is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which gets a 60% discount, dropping to US$24/£22/€24, the lowest price since launch. Battlefield 6, one of the biggest games of 2025, is also discounted by 15%, now priced at US$59.49/£51/€59.49, quite enticing considering the game has been out for less than two months.

Other new releases like Dying Light: The Beast are also down 20% to US$48/£40/€48, while Arc Raiders stays at US$40, still considered one of the best purchases in its price class.

For retro game hunters, there’s good news: F.E.A.R. has dropped again to US$2/£1.39/€1.79, including the Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate DLCs. Even so, fans still recommend playing only the base game, which remains recognized as one of the greatest FPS titles ever made.

It’s not just games—gaming hardware is also on sale. The Steam Deck 256GB LCD receives a 20% discount, dropping to US$319/£279, making it one of the best hardware deals of the year.
