Although the series has only been aired for a few episodes so far, Blue Lock has been gaining popularity among fans of sports anime. Blue Lock manages to be an anime that combines sports with high-risk games, as anyone who loses has to sacrifice their career in football. Apart from that, the anime also does a great job introducing a lot of interesting characters, fighting for the position of the best striker in Japan, that add to the excitement of its storyline.
Of all the strikers who have appeared and participated in the Blue Lock project, we can certainly see which strikers excel both on and off the field so far. Each of them comes with unique skills and the selfishness within them that are needed to become the best striker in the world. Here are some of the best and selfish strikers in Blue Lock so far.
10. Ikki Niko
The character that first appeared in the fourth episode of Blue Lock, is a member of Team Y. Niko may not look like a powerful, intimidating striker. But he's no less talented than the best strikers in this series. Due to his quiet and calm demeanor, Niko is Team Y's ace. Niko reads the game on the pitch and figures out where to pass the ball so his teammates can get the chance to score goals effortlessly. This ability really helped Team Y score their first goal in Blue Lock.
9. Ryosuke Kira
Kira is the first character to be sent home during the preliminaries in Blue Lock. Previously, Kira played for Matsukaze Kokou High School, the school that beat Yoichi's school at the start of Blue Lock. He led his school to the national level. Kira and Yoichi met each other for the second time after they both got selected for the Blue Lock program, in which Yoichi managed to eliminate him in the final seconds of the preliminaries. Kira was understandably furious at the time, but his reputation as Japan's "National Treasure" throughout his high school football journey is nothing to be scoffed at. Kira is undoubtedly a talented striker and his team would not be able to reach the national level without his efforts.
8. Barou Shoei
Barou is a highly selfish character even before he joined the Blue lock project. Barou enjoys being called the King of the Field as he firmly believes that no one in the world can beat him when it comes to football. He is rather violent and likes to belittle his opponents. But he can also be such a reliable player, as he proved during the match between Team X and Z. Barou is not only the first player to score in that match, but he manages to become a player who finds ways to utilize his teammates' strengths to his advantage.
7. Kuon Wataru
This character is one of the players on Team Z who managed to get his teammates to work together. Kuon seems to have a calm demeanor, who serves as a strategist for Team Z due to his exceptional wittiness and creativity. Anytime they find themselves in difficult situations, Team Z can rely on him to come up with a winning strategy. Apart from being a good strategist, he also can also jump higher than anyone else in this project. He often uses this strength to cut passes or to jump over his opponents. Kuon may not be the strongest of all, but that doesn't mean you can underestimate him.
6. Kunigami Rensuke
Kunigami is someone who upholds sportsmanship and justice as well as a young man who adheres to rules above all, on and off the pitch. Kunigami is known as an emotionless character, he only expresses his feelings when someone wronged him. In episode 3 of Blue Lock, Kunigami stands out as the only player in Team Z who manages to score goals. He also has a very powerful left foot that allows him to score more goals from distance than most of the other players in the Blue Lock project.

Bachira possesses high agility and speed, which are his main strengths, making him a threat for opponents. He always believes that there's a "monster" inside of him that motivates and encourages him in matches. With his dribbles, he fools his opponents with spontaneous tricks, making it almost impossible to steal the ball from him. His dream is to become the best striker like his idol, Noel Noa. Isagi had held back too many of his selfish desires his entire life. But now, Isagi is letting his selfishness flow within him, and it has been successful in guiding Isagi to turn him into a great striker along the way.
