Super Kenn’s move to China has become real. Out of nowhere, Bigetron has announced an unexpected transfer that has surprised many fans.
Super Kenn has been one of the most promising junglers in the Indonesian scene. Having been nurtured by BTR since the age of 14, he has broken into the MPL stage just two years later. His early performances have even earned him high praise during his first two seasons.
He has been considered one of the best wonderkids of his generation, with the potential to reach elite levels. Unfortunately, his performance has declined over time.
The lowest point has come during MPL ID Season 14, where his form has dipped significantly, even though Bigetron has still been one of the strongest teams during the regular season. However, their playoff curse has persisted, and they have finished third.
This season, BTR has recruited Anavel. Super Kenn has initially remained on the roster before becoming inactive midway through the season. Logically speaking, Anavel wouldn’t have been brought in unless he was expected to play.
After going inactive, Super Kenn has disappeared from the spotlight. He hasn’t been active on social media, though he has often been seen at the MPL Arena whenever Bigetron played. Until, at last, the official announcement of Super Kenn moving to China has been released.
Super Kenn to China, Loaned by BTR
BTR has realized that Super Kenn wouldn’t be getting much playtime this season. Rather than letting him sit idle, the organization has taken a smart approach. Known for always seeking opportunities beyond their own region, BTR has made another bold decision.
After becoming the first team to send Narashi and Xyve to play for BTR Brazil last year, the Red Robots have now loaned Super Kenn to the Chinese team DFYG.
DFYG has previously competed in the M6 Wildcard and has narrowly missed out on advancing to the group stage. They have been regarded as one of the strongest Chinese teams currently in the scene.
Super Kenn shouldn’t face much difficulty adapting thanks to the presence of Sasa and Loong—coaches who have stayed connected to the MPL ID and Malaysia scenes.
They have likely planned to assist Kenn during his transition, especially as they understand Bahasa Indonesia. Still, Kenn will need to adapt to Mandarin, considering that nearly all his teammates in the Land of Dawn have been native Chinese players.
