Marvel universe is packed with intriguing superheroes. Besides their superpower, some of them have a different origin. From the weak to the strongest. But these superheroes are not just brawn and muscle. Some of them are extraordinarily smart. Who are they? Find out on the list below.
1. Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards)
Reed Richards is a brilliant young man. Reed’s dad is a genius scientist. When he was 14 years old, Reed already has a degree from Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, and Empire State University. Reed’s brilliance is what attracts Victor von Doom, that later recruited him in a space project. Reed and the other crews got into an accident and got exposed to cosmic radiation that resulted in his body becoming flexible.
2. Doctor Doom
Doctor Doom or Victor von Doom is one of the most unique Marvel characters. Since his childhood, Victor is known as a hardheaded genius. He often does research on his mother’s magical object to improve his magical knowledge. When he was an adult, he got a scholarship from Empire State University and graduated magna cum laude. Young Dr. Doom is ambitious in making an advanced portal that connects earth and hell, in hopes that he can revive his mother. But a miscalculation causes his machine to explode and injure his face. Since then Dr. Doom made an armor with the help of the monks from Himalaya that becomes his trademark and the source of his power.
3. Ant-Man (Hank Pym)
Dr. Henry 'Hank' Pym is an American biochemist with vast knowledge in science. He finds sub-atom particles that he calls the Pym Particle. Pym created two serums; one to minimize his body and the other to enlarge his body. Pym also does research on ants and thinks that ants communicate with a psionic electrical wave that is sent from its feelers. From his research, Pym created the first cybernetic helm that allows him to communicate with ants through a psionic electrical wave transmitter and receiver. Pym also designed a suit that will adjust to his body when he shrinks or get enlarged.
4. Hulk (Bruce Banner)
Dr. Robert Bruce Banner or Bruce Banner is a Gamma radiation scientist. But he got into an accident during his research that causes a Gamma bomb to explode. Dr. banner is exposed to the Gamma radiation and he will transform into a humanoid monster when his emotion in unstable. This humanoid persona causes Bruce Banner to live in isolation since the other persona is destructive in nature. Not just known as a scientist and a superhero, Banner is one of the brains that created Vision, from his partnership with Tony Stark.
5. Iron Man (Tony Stark)
Anthony Edward Stark is the son of Howard and Maria Stark. Howard is a well-known wealthy businessman that owns Stark Industries. Tony is blessed with an extraordinary brain since his childhood, so when he was 15 years old Tony majors in electrical engineering at MIT. when he first developed his suit, Tony keeps on developing it for counter-measures against every possible threat. Thanks to his brain, his suit evolves from model to model. Not just that, Tony also created artificial intelligence as his personal assistant named Jarvis. Tony is the other brain that created Vision alongside Bruce Banner.

6. Spider-Man (Peter Parker)
Peter Parker’s brilliant brain is not for granted. Parker is born to a genius scientist named Richard Parker and his wife, Mary. his parents died in a flight accident when Peter was 7 years old. Peter then raised by his uncle and aunt, Ben Parker and Aunt May. Peter’s intelligence is above average, so it’s nothing unusual that he is the smartest student at his school and he wanted to become a scientist. But after he graduated, Peter becomes a freelance journalist that uses his intelligence to find out more about his strength as Spider-Man.
7. Black Panther (T'Challa)
Black Panther or T’Challa is the King of Wakanda, one of the technologically advanced countries in the world. He is one of the 8 smartest individuals in the world, and also a superhero and the leader of his country. T’Challa is an expert strategist, physicist, and engineering. His father taught him about war strategy since his childhood. His father always told him to think two steps further than your enemies and three steps further than his allies. His strategy helps him beat other brilliant individuals such as Reed Richards, Tony Stark, and Dr. Doom.
8. Blue Marvel (Adam Brashear)
Adam Brashear is an African-American with an ideal physique and a genius brain. As a college student, he is a star football athlete and got a career in the military. He got an award thanks to his bravery at the Korean War. After the war, Adam is researching an Anti-Matter substance with his friend, Conner Sims, with the budget he got from the government. He hoped that his research can be applied to the military.
Unfortunately, an accident happens that changes the life of Conner and Adam; whereas Conner’s body becomes a container for the Anti-Matter substance and got an amazing power, while Adam’s body got an amazing power. Adam uses his power to become Blue Marvel. Adam’s power helps him beat Sentry that’s a member of the Mighty Avengers.
9. Beast (Hank McCoy)
Hank McCoy is a mutant inspired by Beaut and the Beast. He comes from a humble background, and his father is a staff at a nuclear power plant. An accident happens on the power plant his father is working at. The accident causes massive radiation, and Hank that was still at his mother’s womb suffers from a genetic mutation. His body is nothing like other kids and he is often bullied because of his massive hands and feet. Because of a serum he created, Hank transforms into a blue humanoid. Since that moment Hank is called Beast.
10. Amadeus Cho
Amadeus Cho is a Korean-American superhero, the son of Helen Cho, the female scientist that appears in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Cho first appeared in Amazing Fantasy No. 15, 2006, as a supporting character in Incredible Hulk series and Incredible Hercules. He is depicted as a smart teenager that acts before he thinks of the consequences. An irony for one of the smartest individuals on the planet. Cho’s ability is his brain, he has Hyper-Mind or Computer-Mind-like brain. With his super-brain, Cho can calculate a super complex probability.
