Requirements to Become a Top Pro Player, According to Xepher
Its not easy to become top pro player.

The requirements to become a pro player have long been a topic of interest for many. Esports professionals have become a dream career path for countless young people.
Not only do they get to play video games — something they naturally enjoy — but the salary and income opportunities have been highly attractive as well.
For many, becoming a millionaire while doing something they love has seemed like the ideal scenario, free from the burden of an unfulfilling job.
However, reaching the top as a pro player is far from easy, especially at the MPL level. Many Mobile Legends players have spent years grinding in tier 2 and tier 3 scenes but have consistently struggled to break into the highest tier of competition.
And considering that Indonesia has established itself as one of the strongest Mobile Legends regions in the world, the competition has become even more intense for those hoping to make it into the MPL.
One of the most crucial requirements to become a pro player, according to Alter Ego coach Xepher, has been hero pool depth. Mobile Legends has featured a large variety of heroes, and a player cannot afford to rely solely on a few picks — even if they are meta.
Being able to master multiple heroes has become essential for competitive success.
Xepher on What It Takes to Go Pro
While speaking during a livestream with Mas Ade, REKT, and others, Xepher shared valuable insights about what makes a pro player truly stand out.
Mas Ade asked how many heroes a pro player should be able to master at the highest level, especially considering the current state of the competitive scene where ten bans per draft can heavily punish players with a limited hero pool.
“To become a pro player, you need to master three heroes at a really high level,” Xepher explained. “Two isn’t enough because there are three bans. Three should be fine. Yeah, it depends on the number of ban slots.”
Given how the Mobile Legends competitive scene has continued to revolve around the current META, where only certain heroes tend to dominate, Xepher’s advice has provided important context for aspiring pros.
Mastering at least three heroes in your main role has become a non-negotiable requirement. Being able to hard-carry with those heroes — and proving it during trials — has often made the difference between making a team or not.
