Marvel Studios has returned with another exciting addition for Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans through its latest series, Ironheart, which officially premieres today, June 24, 2025, on Disney+. This series marks the 14th television entry in the MCU and serves as the final chapter of Phase Five in the cinematic universe.

Directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes, and written by Chinaka Hodge—who also serves as head writer—Ironheart centers on Riri Williams, a brilliant MIT student first introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). Played by Dominique Thorne, Riri returns to her hometown of Chicago, only to find herself entangled with the mysterious Parker Robbins, a.k.a. The Hood, who introduces her to a world of magic that directly clashes with the advanced technology she has mastered.

The series explores a compelling conflict between science and sorcery, pushing Riri into a dangerous adventure and unveiling hidden secrets behind her new powers. Set against the backdrop of Chicago and infused with Marvel’s signature visual effects, Ironheart is expected to become a fan favorite among the MCU’s expanding lineup of superhero stories.

In addition to Dominique Thorne, the cast features Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. The series consists of six episodes, with the first three episodes premiering today, and the remaining episodes scheduled to release on July 1, 2025.
