Impel Down is the most dangerous prison in One Piece filled with the worst criminals. The strongest villains are on the 6th floor. Several Impel Down prisoners were also seen in the Battle of Marineford. Who are they? Take a look at the list below!

1. Crocodile

Crocodile is a former Shichibukai who once tried to rule the Kingdom of Arabasta. His status as a Shichibukai was removed and he was thrown into Impel Down. Knowing Whitebeard will come to Marineford, Crocodile invites Luffy to work together to escape from Impel Down.

Luffy also worked with him until he arrived at Marineford. Crocodile intended to kill Whitebeard but failed. After the war ended, he went to the New World with Mr.1.

2. Portgas D Ace

Ace was also one of the strongest prisoners in Impel Down. He was arrested after collapsing against Teach. His identity as the son of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger made Ace sentenced to death, but his comrades didn't let Ace be killed by the Marines, including Luffy. He became the trigger for the Marineford war.

Luffy managed to free Ace's handcuffs, but he died at the hands of Akainu after protecting Luffy from his magma fist. Ace ate the Mera Mera no Mi, allowing him to generate and manipulate fire according to his will. Currently, the ability is owned by his brother, Sabo.

3. Emporio Ivankov

Ivankov is the queen of the Kamabakka Kingdom who is also one of the commanders of the Revolutionary Army. Ivankov could have run away if he wanted to, but he preferred to stay on the 5.5th floor of Impel Down until the time was right to escape.

After learning that Luffy is Dragon's son, Ivankov decides to help him free Ace at Marineford. That's when they escaped together and freed several other prisoners to work with.

4. Catarina Devon

Catarina Devon is one of the 10 pirates who became the Commander of Yonkou Marshall D. Teach. Not much is known about her, what is clear is that she is one of the most dangerous female pirates. He was proven when he managed to survive in the Battle Royale battle on the 6th floor of Impel Down.

Devon has mastered the Mythical Zoan Inu Inu no Mi Model: Kyuubi no Kitsune devil fruit. This gives him a very dangerous ability, namely being able to transform into whoever he wants. Even though he was a prisoner of Impel Down, it has never been told that he lost the battle.

5. Sanjuan Wolf

Sanjuan is the captain of the Blackbeard Seventh Division. He is a giant who was born in a giant village in West Blue. Its body size is much larger than an ordinary giant. With his as yet undisclosed devil fruit power, his height can even reach 180 meters, making him the tallest human known.

Sanjuan was locked up in a giant cell on the 6th floor of Impel Down before being released by Teach. With him, the Blackbeard Pirates' combat power became much greater. It could also be said that he became one of the strongest members of the Blackbeard Pirates.

6. Donquixote Doflamingo

Doflamingo is one of the Shichibukai with the very dangerous Ito Ito no Mi ability. After his defeat against Luffy, he was thrown into Impel Down 6th floor and was watched directly by Magellan.

Despite languishing in the most dangerous prison in the world, Doflamingo still laughed as if he had other evil plans. Doflamingo is in Impel Down after the Marineford arc.

7. Mr. 1

Mr. 1 was thrown into Impel Down along with Crocodile after losing to Luffy and his friends at Arabasta. He is a user of the Supa Supa no Mi ability which can make any part of his body into a sharp sword. Mr. 1 finally decided to help Luffy and Crocodile together from Impel Down.

8. Buggy

Buggy was thrown into Impel Down after he was captured by the Marines in Loguetown. In the Impel Down plot, Buggy decided to work with Luffy to escape from the most dangerous prison. He was also involved in the Marineford war even though he only avoided and hoped for a miracle.

9. Mr. 3

Mr. 3 was defeated by the Straw Hat crew in the Little Garden plot. This wax man is also one of the Baroque Works agents who finally follow Buggy after the Impel Down plot. In Impel Down, he was one of the people who helped Luffy escape until he arrived at Marineford. Currently Mr. 3 still followed Buggy until his Shichibukai title was disbanded.

10. Shiryu

Shiryu was recruited by Teach in Impel Down. He was also involved in the Marineford war. Shiryu was one of the people who gave the final blow to Whitebeard which killed him.

The sword is one of Meito's or it can be said as a legendary sword named Raiu. Plus, currently, Shiryu got the Suke Suke no Mi ability from Absalom, giving him the ability to be invisible. He will be a very troublesome opponent later.
