The MPL Singapore Season 9 (MPL SG S9) competition has finished on Sunday, June 8, 2025. The playoff round took place lively, held at L4 Open Plaza Tampines Mall, Singapore. A total of 6 teams from the Regular Season round and also from the Last Chance Qualifier round fought for the trophy and tickets to MSC 2025.

The competition in MPL SG S9 can be said to be quite fierce. Unlike other regions in Southeast Asia which provide 2 tickets, there is only 1 ticket to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup available at MPL Singapore. Therefore, the competition in the playoff round is quite interesting to watch.

The previous year, Team Flash (which later became NiP Flash) represented Singapore to the MSC 2024 Esports World Cup. Could they still be strong contenders for this season? Or, could other teams have a strong chance to piggyback on Team Flash's power?

Team Flash Wins MPL SG S9, Zeys Adds to His Achievements After Returning to the Competitive Scene!

Team Flash's journey in MPL SG S9 was not so smooth. They had suffered several defeats from other teams. However, Team Flash's position is still very strong and they managed to qualify for the playoffs with several teams such as EVIL, RSG SG, Kingdom Esports, Absolute Zero and Everlasting Luv.

In their first match in the playoffs, Team Flash faced the Absolute Zero team. In this match, Team Flash won 2-0 and advanced to the next round. They will also face the RSG SG team which on the other hand managed to win against EVIL with a score of 2-1.

Playing in best of 5 (BO5) mode, Team Flash had to give up with a score of 1-3 and gave up the Grand Final ticket to RSG SG. However, this did not discourage them and they had to fight again in the Lower Bracket. Team Flash finally met Absolute Zero again.

Playing in the Lower Bracket Final against Absolute Zero, Team Flash finally won 3-1 in best of 5 (BO5) mode. They managed to qualify for the Grand Final and will face RSG SG again. The Grand Final match will also be played in best of 7 (BO7) Series mode.

In the Grand Final match, RSG SG managed to get points in game 1. However, armed with high fighting spirit and guided by Zeys as coach, Team Flash began to hold the advantage. Finally, Team Flash won MPL SG S9 after defeating RSG SG with a score of 4-1.

This victory again brought Team Flash to become the champion of the 4-peat Champions MPL Singapore and became Singapore's representative to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup. Not only that, this title is also a new achievement for Zeys as a coach after he made a comeback to the competitive scene of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).
