Tencent, the giant gaming company that has been known for its popular games such as PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor (AoV) reportedly brought the majority of shares of other mobile game company, Supercell. Although Supercell is not as famous as Tencent, Supercell has developed a variety of popular mobile games such as Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Hay Day.

Quoted from the business site Forbes, in 2016 a Luxembourg consortium bought an 81.4% stake in Supercell. But at the end of October, Tencent bought a 51.2% of Supercell's shares in an investment that reported to reach $ 8.6 billion. This makes Tencent the majority shareholder in Supercell.

Founded in 2010 in Finland, Supercell is a mobile gaming company that focused on producing freemium games. In total, there are five games that this company ever created namely; Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale and Brawl Stars.

The popularity of this game company skyrocketed in 2013, where Hay Day and Clash of Clans recorded to have a total of 8.5 million players every day and made $ 2.4 million every day.
