Good news for fans of Tsuyoshi Yasuda's The Blue Wolves of Mibu manga! The official website of the TV anime adaptation of the manga has just announced the cast of Hijikata Toshizo, the deputy commander of the Shinsengumi forces, and the role will be filled by Yohei Azakami.

The anime will also feature Shuichiro Umeda as the main character Nio. Other names in the cast of The Blue Wolves of Mibu will be announced in the near future.

The exciting story of The Blue Wolves of Mibu manga will be directed by Kumiko Habara, who was previously involved in other exciting anime such as I'm Standing on 1,000,000 Lives and I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss. The series script will be handled by Kenta Ihara, who has also contributed to several popular anime projects.

As for the storyline, The Blue Wolves of Mibu manga tells the story of Nio, an orphan full of dreams of a better world. The story focuses on her adventures after she meets two men who show her how important the sword is in changing history.

This series is an action-packed samurai story, and the setting is similar to Rurouni Kenshin. The manga also tells the story of the founding of the Shinsengumi by a group of handsome men who passionately fight for justice and their own cause.

Prior to this anime adaptation, The Blue Wolves of Mibu manga has been licensed in English by Kodansha USA Publishing. They plan to start publishing the English version in spring 2024.

Mangaka Tsuyoshi Yasuda is the name behind the series DAYS which has also been adapted into an anime in 2016 as well as five OVA episodes in 2017-2018. In addition, his manga Over Drive inspired a TV anime series in 2007.

With the presence of Yohei Azakami as Hijikata Toshizo, the anime is even more exciting. Fans will soon be able to enjoy the exciting adventures in The Blue Wolves of Mibu.
