For loyal fans of The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors, there is good news that should be welcomed with enthusiasm! The "The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors 6th LIVE TOUR Come and Unite! Brilliant Bloom" concert announced on Sunday, March 3rd 2024 has revealed that The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors anime will continue its adventure with a second season.

The new season of The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors, consisting of 12 episodes, is planned to premiere next fall, after first being screened in theaters starting July 5th 2024.

Before premiering in the fall, the second season of this anime will be presented in a three-film format that will be shown in Japanese cinemas. The first movie is scheduled to be screened from July 5th to July 25th 2024, the second movie from August 23rd to September 12th 2024, and the third movie from September 20th to October 10th 2024.

As a reminder, the first season of the anime The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors itself premiered on April 5th. This first season has also been adapted into three movies which were screened in Japanese cinemas. The success of the first season was proven by the positive response from the audience, especially in its opening weekend where the first movie managed to gross 40,284,350 yen (around Rp. 4,028,435,000).

The creative team behind the success of this project involves Mankyu (Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Theater, The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague) as anime director at Polygon Pictures. Yoichi Kato (The IDOLM@STER Million Live!, Aikatsu!) will supervise and write the series scripts. The anime's opening theme song will be sung by "Tsubasa Gravity."

Not only in anime form, The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors has also inspired a browser game launched by Bandai Namco Entertainment in April 2018. In this game, which can be played for free but with a purchase option, players are invited to train idols and compete with producers. /other performers in a live online concert performance.
