Memorable Graphics

The 2D Graphics of Suikoden 2 captivate many RPG gamers. Even though at that time the game industry is developing 3D games, Suikoden utilizes the 2D graphics just like the previous game. The 2D sprite quality of Suikoden 2 is similar to Suikoden, but the writer feels that Suikoden 2 graphics is more eye-pleasing.

Calming Music

The composer Miki Higashino successfully presents numerous beautiful soundtrack for Suikoden 2. Starting from the tense, sad, and even relaxing music is heard in every city. Those who enjoy playing the game will have goosebumps when listening to these soundtracks. 

Epic Story

You are playing as Riou in the game, along with his friend, Jowy. Both of them are betrayed by their country. Shortly after signing the peace treaty, two figures from their kingdom Captain Rown and Prince Luca Blight betrays the army and breaks the peace treaty. 

This event triggers the continuation of the war. Also, Riou and Jowy are framed and exiled from their country. Later on, Riou and Jowy are involved in complex politics, which makes them fight for different sides.

Collect 108 Characters 

Aside from the plot, what makes Suikoden 2 so intriguing is the 108 Star of Destiny. Yes, the players can collect up to 108 characters spread out all over the Suikoden 2 world. Although not all character is usable for fighting, some of them are useful for the activities in the castle.

Collecting them is not an easy feat. You need luck when collecting characters like Clive and Moku Moku. But the satisfaction you feel is similar to getting an SSR.
