The Tekken 8 bracket of The MixUp 2025 officially concluded on July 6, delivering an exciting showdown among more than 200 professional players from around the world. After two intense days of battles, the tournament found its new champion: Tibetano, a Spanish pro player representing Gaimin Gladiators.
Tibetano’s Impressive Journey
Tibetano, known for his mastery of Asuka, delivered a flawless performance throughout the Top 8. He remained undefeated all the way into the Grand Finals, showcasing both sharp fundamentals and a strong grasp of matchups.
In the Grand Final, he faced off against Jeondding, the runner-up of The MixUp 2024. Jeondding, who climbed his way up from the Lower Bracket, managed to defeat Tibetano 3-2 in the first set of the Grand Final, forcing a Bracket Reset.
However, in the Final Reset, Tibetano came back with renewed focus and a refined game plan. He decisively defeated Jeondding 3-0, locking in his title as the Tekken 8 Champion of The MixUp 2025.
Breaking Regional Dominance
Tibetano’s victory not only showcased his individual skill but also marked a significant moment in the Tekken 8 competitive scene. His win ended the Korean and Pakistani dominance that had prevailed through most of mid-2025 in major Tekken events.
