The newly-released open-world MMORPG, Tower of Fantasy, boasts stunning graphics with anime-style character designs. Touted as the biggest competitor to Genshin Impact, it’s a gacha game with unique combat abilities.

Aside from that, players can explore the vast map, solve puzzles, and take down opponents’ strongholds. For those of you who are still new to the game, Dunia Games is here with useful tips and tricks for beginners in Tower of Fantasy. Without further ado, let’s get into it.

20. Collect Hidden Nuclei

There are 3 types of nuclei in Tower of Fantasy: Black, Gold, and Red, which are the currency used for making gacha pulls in Tower of Fantasy. The Black Nucleus banner doesn’t offer a Pity system, as the items are common. Whereas the Gold Nucleus banner offers rarer items. The Red Nucleus banner offers ultra rare items as there is no way to find Red Nuclei in this open-world game.

19. Reduce Fall Damage

Your character’s legs are very vulnerable to fall damage in Tower of Fantasy. To avoid taking too much fall damage, you can use these tricks:

  • Use double jump as you almost touch the ground. You just need to tap the jump button once to reduce the fall distance and avoid taking fall damage.
  • All weapons can be used in the air, yet it takes stamina. If you have remaining stamina, you can make an attack move as you almost touch the ground.
  • You can make three consecutive dodges in Tower of Fantasy. Use dodge as you almost touch the ground to avoid taking fall damage.

18. Track Unclaimed Chests

Tower of Fantasy devs make it easier for you to track your exploration progress. On the map, you can select opponents’ strongholds to get this info. You can find chests until you reach 100% exploration. Be sure to see if you have opened all of the chests, which are indicated with gray chest icons.

17. Try Out Different Simulacra

After reaching a certain point in the storyline, you can unlock a story that will start your journey of collecting lost data from SSR Simulacra. The only way to get these characters is by relying on your luck in the gacha banner. Another way is to try out these Simulacra and their respective weapons through story quests. Go to the character screen and select the Simulacra you want to try out. You’ll find the “Story option on the left to access their quests.

16. Complete Daily Activities

You can access and complete daily activities to obtain a good amount of rewards. Luckily, there’s always something to do in Tower of Fantasy even if you run out of energy to get various items. There are Daily Sign-In, Mia's Kitchen, and Daily Bounty. You can also explore the universe and complete ruins as long as you have enough energy to do so.

15. Choose Less-Than-Full Servers

Perhaps this is one of the basic tips for people who have played MMO games before. So, for those of you who are just getting introduced to this genre for the first time with Tower of Fantasy, be sure to always choose a server that is not too crowded. It can be important for you as it will affect your experience. Try to choose a server that still has a green circle next to it as it indicates that the server is mostly empty. If you choose yellow or red servers, it is highly likely that you'll have to wait in a queue before you can finally get to the server.

14. Daily Free Simulacrum Gifts

On Cetus island, go straight past the tent in the middle. There, you will find an arcade machine near Slayer. You can play the claw machine 3 times a day and earn gifts that raise Simulacra affinity/friendship. The prizes you can get are fixed, but the purple fox is a purple tier gift. It's unclear whether the black robot cat level (another purple tier) is even attainable as it always slips out of the claw.

13. Be Aware of Daily Reset

Certain things such as sign-in bonus, daily bounty, and other daily missions are all reset at 5 AM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) or 4 PM GMT+7. If the reset time elapses, then you can do other daily missions and continue leveling.

12. Sending Coordinates

With the chat box open, you can click on the small tab that looks like a Maps pin next to the send button. It will attach your current coordinates and send them immediately to other players who can click on the coordinates to see where your actual location is. This is especially useful when you need help or want to guide someone.

11. Tap Revive

When a teammate falls, you can revive them by interacting with them. You just need to press the interaction button and even if you leave them right away, they will still be revived. It's an efficient way to revive players as you can keep fighting, making you less vulnerable to enemies, and allowing you to quickly revive multiple players. No need to stand around waiting for the revive animation to finish.

10. Always Break Bosses’ Shield

If you don't take down a boss' shield, they will be able to use their ultimate, which, depending on the type of the boss, can be ignored, or be utterly deadly for the team. When a boss still has their shield, your damage will be reduced. So, be sure to take their shields down using your best shield-breaking weapon as there are also some useful buffs from taking them down.

9. Passcode Terminals

Here are the codes for all passcode terminals.

8. Aerial Discharge Skill

Using the Discharge Skill makes you vulnerable to a lot of damage as you are locked in place during the animation. Double jumping before casting Discharge skills can help you dodge most enemy attacks.

7. Aerial Attacks Inflict More Damage

This may vary depending on the type of weapon, but in general, aerial attacks do more damage. However, it can make you more vulnerable too since it requires a lot of endurance, and you may end up having to chase around your enemies.

6. Farm Dungeons Weekly

Even if you run out of Vitality, you can still farm dungeons to gain weekly activity points. This can be very useful if you can only play a few days a week. One thing you can't do without having enough Vitality is the Omnium Beacon. It can take some time, but if you do all available activities, you can fill out the weekly activity boxes within 2-3 days.

5. Use the Full World Map When Exploring

The full world map provides a wider field of view than the minimap. Regularly checking the world map will also help you find exploration points that you can't see otherwise from the minimap.

4. Relic and Weapon Sets

You can make a total of 3 sets of relics that you can swap with "G" on PC. However, you can't change them during the fight as they can only be changed prior. Relics such as Spacetime Rift, Drone, Couant, Magnetic Storm, Hovering Cannon, Type V Armor (for the explosion once ejected), and Missile Barrage will be useful when activated before an enemy spawns. Use this trick to get the best out of your DPS.

You can also create sets of weapons. But to set them, press "N" on your keyboard to quickly open the menu. You can swap weapons when you're out of the battle to heal up quickly. But you can't change weapons inside instance dungeons.

3. Get the Colossus Arms (SSR Relic) For Free

The Colossus Arms can be obtained for free on the first day from the Navia Ecological Park hidden quest. In this quest, you can also get the Omnium Beast VII and Voyager mounts.

2. Party Teleport

You can access the party on the right side of the screen by clicking on the flag icon to open the list of party members. Clicking the third button (the icon with a picture of two people) will take you to the location and channel (line) of the party leader. If you are the party leader, you can click the summon button to send a request to the members to come to you.

You can use this to teleport to world bosses. If you are the party leader, it's highly advised that you enable the option to automatically accept join requests, which you can access by clicking the flag icon a second time.

1. Jetpack Dash & Infinite Climb

To glide further using the Jetpack, you can perform a dodge to gain more distance forward. At the end of each dodge, reactivate your jetpack. By repeating this process, you will be able to gain more distance while gliding.

You can also perform an Infinite Climb, which won't consume your Endurance. You only need to let go, then do a double jump, and grab. Do this in sequence repeatedly. By doing this, you can climb over any ledge that gets in your way. Advanced users can use the Aerial Hold attack to make higher jumps.
