Toei Animation Launches ETERNA Animation Ahead of Its 70th Anniversary

As it approaches its 70th anniversary in 2026, Toei Animation has announced a major new initiative — the creation of ETERNA Animation, a brand dedicated to producing fully original works developed in-house.

Shinozuka, a 1994-born graduate of Tokyo Zokei University, is known for his hands-on approach — handling direction, storyboards, and character design himself. This makes FOXING: Kitsuné-tsuki a deeply personal and visually distinctive work.

The film is produced by Yoshihide Moriyama, who emphasizes that this project embodies ETERNA’s ideals and is designed to connect emotionally with audiences worldwide.

Presentation at Annecy 2025

FOXING: Kitsuné-tsuki will be presented as a work in progress during the MIFA Talent Panel at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2025. Concept art, character designs, and production materials will be showcased, offering a glimpse into the creative process behind ETERNA’s debut.
