After the flop with the two G.I. Joe films, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins looks to be far more promising. Although you are only presented with a trailer with characters that also appeared in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, the anticipated prequel added CGI effects that spoils the eyes and seems to be more intriguing to find out more about the origin of Snake Eyes.
Snake Eyes made a lot G.I. Joe fans curious since it was briefly told that Snake Eyes vowed to not speak at all. Therefore, many are curious about Snake Eyes during adolescence and during his time before becoming a great swordsman. Snake Eyes will be played by Henry Golding, from Crazy Rich Asian.
The studio itself promises something different in Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins. Of course, if this film is successful, it is possible that a film about each G.I. Joe character’s origin will be made. Obviously with a darker and more complicated storyline when compared to G.I. Joe: Rise of The Cobra and G.I. Joe: Retaliation.
Robert Schwentke himself will take an important role as the director of Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins. Previously Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins was scheduled for release in October 2020, unfortunately, it was postponed due to the Corona pandemic so that Paramount Pictures postponed its release. If all goes well and unhindered, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins will be released on 22 October 2021.
