1. One of the Biggest Threat for the World Government

It Chapter 908 of One Piece, we can see a poster of Teach torn by Im, the mysterious figure, between the poster of Luffy and Shirahoshi. This proves that Teach is a potential threat that might destroy the World Government because of his abilities.

In chapter 925 of the manga, the bounty of Teach is revealed to be 2.247.660.000 Belly. The bounty is revealed when Moria comes to an island where Kurohige stays to find one of his crews, Absalom. This reveal makes him the first Yonkou to have his bounty revealed.

4. At One Point He Motivates Luffy

When Luffy and the others ask about Sky island in a bar, people laughed at them because they think Luffy is crazy. But when everybody thought Luffy is crazy, Teach said that the Sky island does exist.

He also motivates Luffy by saying, “ A man’s dream never dies! If you don’t fight until the end, you will never reach your dream even if it’s right in front of you.” It turns out because he became the rotten man that he is right now, Teach is quite wise.

5. Left a Scar On Shanks

Shanks explains that the scar on his left eye is because of his fight with Teach. Shanks told this when he met Shirohige.

The red-haired man warns Shirohige that Teach is a dangerous figure, and when given the opportunity, Teach will take advantage of it. Shanks also told Shirohige that he’s not that stubborn to let someone hurt his eye. It’s a prove that Teach is strong enough to face Shanks.

6. His Concept is Different From the Original Script

In One Piece Secret piece, Oda said that Marshall is not the name planed for Teah, but Everything. A real-life pirate, Henry every inspires the name. He was the wealthiest pirate with the highest bounty during his time, not only that we can also see various sketches for Teach’s face.

7. He Have Two Big Titles

After the defeat of Crocodile that resulted in him kicked out of the Shichibukai, Teach intends to replace Crocodile’s position as one of the Shicibukai. The World Government approved his request on condition that he must arrest either Monkey D. Luffy or Portgas D. Ace, and he decided to get Ace.

Kurohige manages to arrest Ace and become a Shicibukai, But because of his thirst for power, he recruits the prisoner from the floor six of Impel Down. Not only that, Teach killed Shirohige and steals the power of Gura Gura no Mi from him.

After that, Teach is kicked out of the Shicibukai and treated as a Yonkou by the World Government.
