The Fourth Shinobi World War, which occurred at the end of Naruto Shippuden was running short - only last for three days -- but the destruction that caused was still massive. Aside from killing 40.000 great ninjas, this war also cost these heroes their powers!

7. Might Guy - Losing His Ability to Walk on Two Feet

After beating Madara with all his might by Eight Gates Released Formation and Night Guy, this formidable Taijutsu master almost sacrificed his life, but luckily Naruto immediately rescue him by curing him with Rikudo Sennin power before he died; even in the end his leg completely broken and cannot continue his service as a ninja.

Weirdly, Naruto can revive Guy, who almost died to ash but still cannot cure his leg.

6. Kakashi Hatake - Losing His Sharingan

Kakashi’s Mangekyo Sharingan was taken by Madara to chase the escaped Obito into the Kamui dimension. Like Guy, with Naruto’s Rikudo Sennin power, Kakashi’s eye got restored, even though restored into a normal eye. 

Obito’s chakra or soul once granted Sharingan powers to the masked ninja on the last battle against Kaguya. But when the fight ended, the Sharingan also gone.

5. Naruto Uzumaki - Losing Gudodama

After temporary death and gaining Rikudo Sennin chakra, Naruto once could create seven Gododama on his back, which he can use to attack Kaguya. But, as seen in the Boruto series, it looks like Naruto cannot recreate Gudodama anymore after the war ends.

4. Sasuke Uchiha - Losing His Left Arm

Due to the final battle between him and Naruto at the Valley of the End, these two ninja heroes of the Fourth Shinobi World War must lose one of their arms. Due to Orochimaru’s experiment with Hashirama’s cell, Naruto later received a new arm, but Sasuke decided to live with one arm.

Even though he only had one arm left, Sasuke still prominent in sword fighting, jutsus, and hand to hand combat!

3. Anko Mitarashi and Mei Terumi - Losing Their Ability to Attract Men 

After the war ended, the ninja world slowly lived in peace, and people started to live in happiness and prosperity. With this, without ‘exercise’ and missions, Anko became fat, and Mei, who decided to stay busy keeping the relation with other villages and preparing Chojuro as the next Mizukage, stayed single until old.

Even Tsunade mocked Mei that they were old enough and already late to have a spouse. So sad with their fate, why Kishimoto didn’t make them have a spouse and a family?

2. Neji Hyuuga, Inoichi Yamanaka, Shikaku Nara, Mabui - Losing Their Lives

It’s clear that if you are losing your life, you will lose everything, including chakra and powers.

1. Ao - Losing His Mind

The Boruto series later revealed that Ao was not dead on the Shinobi World War -- but saved by Karasuke and, for an unknown reason, joining Kara, the evil, mysterious organization. Maybe in the future episode, we can know his reason about his involvement.
