Currently, there are many professional WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) wrestlers who are trying to test their luck in the movie industry. Because after constantly wrestling in a ring to compete for a title as a professional wrestler, now they are also trying their luck in acting on Hollywood movies.

After their success in the WWE ring, many WWE wrestlers are still active or already retired from the ring to the movie world. Uniquely, few of them are more successful as movie stars compared to their career in the WWE ring. Here are seven professional wrestlers who appeared in Hollywood movies. Who are they?

7. Dwayne Johnson

Who doesn’t know Dwayne Johnson or The Rock? This retired WWE wrestler has starred in dozens of Hollywood movies and making him one of many successful WWE wrestlers. Moreover, his appearance in The Fate of the Furious has given the series a new path to the series. As a result, Dwayne Johnson appears again in Hobbs and Shaw along with co-star Jason Statham. Also, Johnson recruits his cousin, Roman Reigns, to star in this movie.

Aside from Hobbs and Shaw, Dwayne will also make an appearance in Jumanji 3. This movie has yet to have an official name, but the production already wrapped even though this movie will hit the theaters on December 13 this year.

6. John Cena

The wrestler who is known for his gimmick "You can't see me" was very successful above the "Smackdown!" ring. His life motto who never give up and his respect to other wrestlers as well have become his trait. Back in 2018, Cena had starred in few Hollywood movies, like Blockers and Bumblebee. 

This year, Cena received a chance to involved in a new project with Jackie Chan in Project X-Traction. Besides, Cena also reported to star in other movies like a family comedy movie titled "Playing With Fire," and Cena also lends his voice to the upcoming Robert Downey Jr's film titled The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle.

5. Dave Bautista

Fans of Guardians of the Galaxy undoubtedly familiar with Dave Bautista. He's the man behind the grey skin of Drax the Destroyer, a friend of Starlord in the same team. Dave also an ex-WWE wrestler who is currently rising to stardom in Hollywood. Aside from Guardians of the Galaxy, Dave also starred in a movie alongside Indonesian actor Iko Uwais in Stuber. 
Later in this year, Bautista will appear in his new movie titled My Spy. Where this movie revolves around a tough CIA agent (Bautista) who received a demotion, and he found himself at the mercy of 9 years old girl.

4. Goldberg

Not only successfully beating Brock Lesnar in a ring quickly in Survivor Series 2016 back then, Goldberg turns out also managed to gain audience's eyes after he appeared in a movie titled Con Man. This movie was released back in March this year tells about a man named Barry Minkow who becomes a CEO with lying, cheating, and stealing to stay at the top. Unfortunately, his appearance in this movie is not much.

3. Big Show

Big Show is one of the legendary wrestlers in WWE history. With his giant body posture, he could make himself to win easily in a ring as well as in television. Big Show's existence in Hollywood movies also very much, even though his appearance is not prominent like Dave Bautista or Dwayne Johnson.  

2. Roman Reigns

At the beginning of last year, the Hollywood movie industry was shocked by Roman Reign's acting debut in Hobbs and Shaw. Via Dwayne Johnson's Instagram account, this wrestler who often referred to as "Big Dog'" was seen acting with him in this Fast and Furious spin-off movie.

Currently, he's on a vacuum in a WWE ring and taking part in Hobbs and Shaw while treating his leukemia disease. Even though he's not looking fresh, Reigns still scary in the movie as he did in the ring.

1. Braun Strowman

Holmes & Watson movie also served as a Christmas movie back in 2018. This movie tells about the return of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson with a lighter tone. But there's one professional wrestler who is currently rising named Braun Strowman. His appearance in this movie served as the villain of the duo. Also, his role can make people laugh, because, despite his brawny posture, he could be defeated by the detective duo.
