Not too long ago, the writer had shared the MonsterVerse timeline order part one. Today, the writer will share the rest of the MonsterVerse timeline so you are up to speed before you watch Godzilla Vs Kong. The first part explained the origin of MonsterVerse and its first appearance. The MonsterVerse begins with the appearance of Godzilla and MUTO. besides Godzilla and MUTO, there are other giant monsters that live on Earth and will become a tough opponent for Godzilla, and that is Kong.

Kong's Origin

Monarch that wanted to learn about the 2 giants were surprised with information about another giant. They obtained the information from a rare image showing an island that was still untouched by man. Monarch then investigates the island and the island turns to be an island where Kong lives.

Kong: Skull Island

The year 1973

After getting the images of Skull Island, William Randa along with Houston Brooks and other researchers went to the island. Randa and Brooks recruited James Conrad, a former explorer and SAS, and Mason Weaver, a photographer. During their journey to Skull Island, they were attacked by a giant gorilla named Kong. After that, the remaining Monarch team decided not to return and disturb Skull Island. Conrad and Weaver reported that Kong is one of the other living titans.

Since that event, Monarch believed that the existence of Godzilla and Kong was real. They also believed that the information was just a beginning and that there was more to uncover. So Monarch recruits more people to their strength.

From Kong to Godzilla

12 June 1981

Ishiro Serizawa joined Monarch after the passing of his father Eiji Serizawa. He wanted to follow his father’s footsteps and unveil the existence of titans on Earth. He became a pivotal figure to Monarch after joining the organization

24 May 1989

Rick Stanton is a crucial man for Monarch since he shared a number of information about the existence of titans. Rick then joined Monarch and was in charge of monitoring their satellite.

The Year 1991

20 years after the findings of Kong, Monarch finally detected another titan activity on the mountains of Isla de Mona. Monarch then set up a facility there and found out that a titan that lives in the mountain is called Rodan. Rodan is a giant pteranodon.

The Year 1995 

20 years after Houston Brooks met Kong, his son Aaron Brooks goes on a secret mission to Skull Island. He recruited a group of men to join him. Aaron’s goal is to find out if Kong can be a friend to humanity.

Initially, Aaron and his team were supposed to stay for 3 days on Skull Island. But their plans were spoiled after Death Jackals attacked them. Fortunately, Kong saved Aaron and his team. They then stayed to live on Skull Island with the Iwi tribe.

Aaron documented his experience and throws it into the ocean in hopes that his father would watch it.

The Year 1999

In 1999, Monarch found the carcass of a titan that died because of parasitic fungi in the Philippines. At that time, Viviene Graham was tasked with researching these findings. The parasitic fungi were secured and transported to Yucca Mountain, Nevada to be observed for safety measures. The rest of the fungi continued to grow until they got close to the radiation source.

In the same year, a male MUTO egg was transported to a nuclear power plant in Janjira, Japan. The egg hatched and the Muto devoured the entire nuclear power plant and caused seismic activities that sunk the power plant. After destroying the facility, the male MUTO absorbed radioactive fuel for 15 years and Janjira became a quarantine zone after the event.

The Year 2005

Monarch finally creates a device name Orca that allows them to communicate with the titan. The device is believed to be a crucial technology in the future of Monsterverse.

The Year 2009 

Ilene Chen who was a Mythological expert at Monarch heard a weird “singing” in the rain forest of Yunnan. The noise came from a temple where a giant Mothra cocoon resides. Monarch then created a quarantine zone around the temple and entrusted the area to Emma Russel.

24 June 2012

Aaron’s Skull Island documentation was finally found in the South Pacific after 16 years. The documentation surprised Houston Brooks and he promised to return to Skull Island because he believed that his son Aaron is still alive.

Godzilla

After decades of researching the titans and keeping it a secret from the public. Everything changed with the event in the Godzilla film. After losing his wife, Joe Brody then continued his search to confirm that what happened in Janjira was not a natural disaster. People around him thought that Joe was crazy after losing his wife, but their perception changed after three monsters attacked America.

The Year 2013

Ford Brody joined the marines to deal with the loss of his mother and the father who was considered crazy. He was assigned as an explosion sweeping technician for 14 months.

The Year 2014

After returning to his home, he wanted to bail his father who went to jail for breaking into the Monarch facility. But his effort resulted in him getting caught and taken to the facility. Soon after that, a male MUTO appeared and destroyed the facility, killing Ford’s father.

After destroying the facility, the male MUTO sends a signal to the female MUTO. The female MUTO appeared and destroyed Las Vegas and the two MUTO met at San Francisco. Godzilla appears and kills the two MUTO and returns to the pacific ocean after that. On the other side, Ford blows up a nest full of MUTO babies.

After Godzilla revealed itself to the world, Monarch rethinks about what Orca can do. But Mark Russel disagrees and decided to quit the organization.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

After the public knows about Godzilla, Monarch started to make a change to adapt to the world that is going to be full of titans. In Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Monarch uses their military unit to find as much information about the titan. Resulting in a report of 17 titans on Earth.

The Year 2016

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is set five years after the existence of titans was revealed. At that time Monarch witnessed the birth of a larva named Mothra. They also used Orca to calm down the larva, but the group led by Alan Jonah attacked and kidnapped Emma Russel and her daughter. The larva escapes and turns into a cocoon under a nearby waterfall.

Alan kidnapped Emma to force her to wake up King Ghidorah that was asleep in the Antarctic. The three-headed monster is powerful. After waking up, King Ghidorah wakes up other titans that were hibernating and creating chaos on Earth.

But Godzilla appeared and helped humans. It challenged its rival and ended the chaos and made other titans bow down to its presence.
