The Valorant Patch Note 9.08 has been released, providing a guide for the upcoming Valorant patch update. Significant changes are visible on the Sunset map, agent updates, and the introduction of a new map for the Team Deathmatch mode.

Check out the full details of Valorant Patch Note 9.08 that we've summarized below!

Valorant Patch Note 9.08 Agent Updates

Gekko

  • Globule: Reduced active time on the battlefield from 20 sec >>> 15 sec, increased retrieval time from 1 sec >>> 1.5 sec.
  • Dizzy: Reduced active time after being thrown and forming from 1.5 sec >>> 1 sec. Dizzy's targeting algorithm has been updated for better reliability, and Dizzy’s flash now also blinds the minimap of affected players.
  • Wingman: Increased the concuss cone angle from 45 degrees >>> 65 degrees. When Wingman transforms into a globule after planting the Spike, a unique visual effect will now appear.
  • Thrash: Ultimate point increased from 7 >>> 8.

Yoru

  • Several abilities had no effect on Yoru's Fakeout clone, making it too easy to distinguish from the real Yoru.
  • Blind abilities like Gekko's Dizzy and Vyse's Arc Rose will now apply a blind effect to Yoru's Fakeout clone, just like it would on a real agent.
  • Vyse will now say the "Successful Blind" celebration line when blinding Yoru's Fakeout clone.
  • Cypher's Neural Theft will reveal Yoru's Fakeout clone.
  • Meddle Clove will now apply a slow effect to Yoru's Fakeout clone.
  • Jett's Tailwind and Skye's Trailblazer will no longer stop at the window in Ascent. Both will now pass through the window and continue to the other side.

Map Updates

New Team Deathmatch Map
Valorant introduces "Glitch," a new Team Deathmatch map. This 5v5 map places you in a dual-themed arena. It is the 5th TDM map and takes place in the Maxbot arena.

Map Rotation

  • Pearl and Split have been reintroduced into the competitive map pool.
  • Icebox and Lotus have been removed from the competitive map pool.

Sunset Map Changes

The B Site on Sunset has been updated to improve defense, post-plant scenarios, and provide more varied gameplay options on the site. The pivot box in B Main previously added too much pressure during post-plant situations, so the cover area has been simplified.
You can still play in B Main during post-plant, but it should now be better balanced for teams attempting a retake. Certain Cypher tripwires have also been removed with this change.
