Aksys Games has announced that Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II (Shinigami: Shibito Magire), the sequel to the horror visual novel Death Mark, will soon have an English version. The game is scheduled to be released in late February 2024 and will be available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Previously, this game was announced to be released for Switch, PS4, and Steam. Additionally, fans can purchase the original soundtrack CD with 14 tracks through the Aksys Online Store in North America.

The game, which is known as the horror visual adventure game was previously launched in Japan for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on December 1, 2022 after experiencing a delay.

In Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II, players will follow Kazuo Yashiki's journey back to City H to investigate the supernatural events that occurred at Konoehara Academy. Like the previous editions, the developers of this game have taken inspiration from Japanese myths and folklore to create a deep and mysterious horror story.

The game will feature old characters to help Yashiki on his quest, and also introduce a 2D side-scrolling mode that provides a new way to explore in-game locations. Players must be prepared, because in a world full of evil spirits, a fatal mistake means death.

Death Mark, the first game in the series, first launched in Japan in June 2017 for the PlayStation Vita, then on PS4 in January 2018. Aksys Games later released the English version of the game on PS4, PS Vita, and Switch in October 2018.

Spirit Hunter: NG, another game in the series, released an English version for PS4, Switch, PS Vita, and PC in October 2019. The game launched in Japan for PS Vita in September 2018, and on PS4 in February 2019.
