On this year’s Eid al-Fitr, we will have the monthly Pokemon GO event. The Swablu Community Day will take place on May 15. From 11 AM - 5 PM local time.

Swablu, the Cotton Bird Pokemon, will spawn more often in the game. If you evolve your Swablu into Altaria between 11 AM to 7 PM, you will get the special moveset, Moonblast.

This event is a priority, especially for new Pokemon GO players. You can get lots of Swablu Candy from catching the Pokemon during this event.

Use incense to get Swablu spawns around your avatar for 3 hours. Once it runs out, burn another one so you can play until 5 PM. To evolve Swablu into Altaria, you will need 400 Candy! It requires more Candy than most Pokemon, which requires 100 Candy at most. Therefore, catch as many Swablu as you can to rack up the Candy.

Take full advantage of this event by participating, because you can also get the Shiny form of Swablu since the spawn rate is increased.

After this event, Mega Altaria will also arrive in Mega Raid Battles. Collect Mega Energy Altaria from these Raids so that you can Mega Evolve your Altaria.

Mega Altaria is of the Dragon & Fairy-type, so it will work perfectly with the moveset Moonblast you get from Altaria evolution during the Swablu Community Day.

Another bonus is that if you use the Incubator during this event, you will receive a 75% cut distance. So, 10 km eggs will hatch within 2.5 km.
