Toei Animation has announced that the legendary anime series One Piece will go on hiatus after Episode 1122 was released last Sunday. The series will return in April 2025 with new episodes of the Egghead arc. During the hiatus, fans can watch One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga, a special episode that has been revised.
The 21-episode trailer will showcase the Fishman Island arc with a fresh look and feel, featuring a contemporary visual style and new animation sequences, including the opening and ending themes. Opening “We Go!” hosted by Kitadani Hiroshi, will include a special guest collaboration to be announced soon. Meanwhile the ending of “Sailing” (TV version) by BE:FIRST, adds an interesting new touch.
Additionally, on October 20, One Piece's 25th anniversary episode will premiere with a series of 30-minute episodes depicting the reunion of the Straw Hat crew from the perspective of non-pirate characters. Set on the Sabaody Archipelago after the Marineford arc, the story follows its protagonist, a young girl and admirer of Nami, as she embarks on a small adventure.
Even though they are on break for 6 months, Toei Animation also promises to continue showing animation that will not disappoint the audience. Because of this, they decided to stop the One Piece anime for 6 months. Moreover, so far the One Piece anime has never had a break. We have been too spoiled by the ongoing One Piece anime.
