In May 2021 Battlefield V became free to download and play for every PS+ subscriber, a membership package from Playstation. Battlefield V Single Player Campaign is the main mode for this World War II-inspired game. Currently, online games that center around World War are popular among gamers thanks to their classic backgrounds and advanced weaponry which results in an exciting tactical battle. However, unlike many other World War games, you can also play as a character from the Axis nations in Battlefield V Story Campaign mode, not just the allies.

Like the previous titles starting from Battlefield 1, this game’s main Campaign consists of several War Stories: Soldiers from their respective countries telling their warfare stories from different locations from one and another. While the collectible challenge in Battlefield V is similar to its predecessor in which players will need to collect Letters and War Stories Challenges, the main difference is that each soldier uses their respective mother tongue to give that authentic experience.

Battlefield V provides missions in a semi open world environment where you can choose which objectives to finish first. 1. My Country Calling

This Battlefield V War Stories Campaign is also considered a Prologue to introduce you to the various gameplay arenas such as the land infantry warfare and driving a war vehicle like a Tank and plane. The missions here offer some thrilling cinematic scenes and wise words about warfare that engage your feelings, followed with patriotic soundtracks to immerse yourself even further into the World War II conflicts.

There are five scenes arranged into their respective missions. First, you play as an English parachute jumper jumping into the warzone in Norwegia whom the Germany troops currently own, then the scene moves to a Free French Tirailleur Sniper fighting a war in North Africa, and next to a Germany Tank Commander Axis called Peter Muller who are fighting in El Alamein, and lastly a Yellow-Seven Luftwaffe squadron pilot who defends German from the Ally’s aircraft bomb assaults.

2. Under No Flag

Under No Flag is set in North Africa in 1942, pitting you into the role of a skillful prisoner from England called Billy Bridger who sabotages some robberies for a living. Billy is given a parole to join the Special Boat Service (SBS) for his valuable skill in warfare. 

Billy is given a mission to sabotage an airport and military installation to redeem for his past sins as a criminal and earn his freedom.

3. Nordlys

Based in 1943 during Germany’s conquest over Norwegia, Nordlys tells the tale of Solveig Fia Bjornstad, a young girl who joins the Norwegian Resistance and fights by herself to save Astrid, her mother whom the Nazi took for hostage.

Solveig will also throw herself out to sabotage Germany’s valuable Heavy Water product as their main source for crafting Nazi’s first ever atomic bomb in the world. During this snowy mission, you can sneak past the troops using a snowboard.

4. Tirailleur

Tirailleur depicts the story of Deme Cisse, a Tirailleur from Seinegald who joins the foreign France’s legion during the battle to free France from Nazi during the Operation Dragoon in 1944. In this story, Deme is past his prime and he’s reminded of his past experience in the war as he thrusts himself into World War II.

Deme tells the story of his comrade, Idrissa who fought the Nazi as a proof that black-skinned soldiers also played a role in the history as some of the heroes who fought for freedom.

5. The Last Tiger

Released along with Battlefield V’s update called Chapter Overture Tides of War, The Last Tiger tells the story of a veteran Tank Commander named Peter Muller and his Tiger Panzer crewmates. Using the tanks, they must defend Germany from the Ally’s assaults.

Amidst the mission, Peter’s trustworthy tank breaks down and he has to sneak around on foot to the enemy’s headquarters while waiting for his teammates to fix their tanks so that they can advance further.
