BTR Anavel has been one of the most anticipated players in MPL ID Season 15. The former EVOS wonderkid, who shone in the last two seasons, was expected to deliver something special this season.

His move to Bigetron, after being released by EVOS, was one of the more surprising transfers. Anavel had been EVOS’ standout player in Season 14, even though the team failed to reach the playoffs.

However, the decision was somewhat understandable, as EVOS opted to bring in Albert. With Albert’s arrival, it was unlikely they would bench him, and Anavel’s potential was too valuable to keep as a reserve.

But despite the high expectations, reality has not aligned. Bigetron, which was considered to have a strong roster filled with individually skilled players, has failed to perform at its best.

Their performance hasn’t been terrible, but it hasn’t been flawless either. A 3-3 record in Week 3 of MPL ID S15 certainly wasn’t what Bigetroopers had hoped for. Similarly, in ESL, they advanced to the playoffs with a 3-2 record—again, far from perfect.

MLBB legend Xinn also weighed in on Anavel’s performance, stating that the player has yet to meet expectations.

BTR Anavel is Underperforming

While streaming and watching Bigetron’s matches, Xinn pointed out that something seems off with Anavel. Bigetron had high hopes for a jungler who could showcase his full potential, but that hasn’t materialized yet.

Anavel remains inconsistent. He isn’t playing poorly, but his performances fluctuate between good and average, preventing BTR from reaching their desired level.

"Anavel in BTR hasn’t reached his peak performance yet. His skills are being sold separately," said Bang Xinn.

"I also believe BTR was confident in trading Kenn for Anavel because they saw how he carried EVOS. They thought that with a stronger team like BTR—featuring players like Emann and others—he’d perform even better. But it turns out, that’s not the case."

"Anavel in BTR is currently underperforming, guys," he concluded.

That said, it’s unfair to judge the player too harshly when the season isn’t even halfway through. Let’s wait and see if Anavel and Light can prove themselves and elevate BTR to greater heights.
