In the New Year's message delivered by Square Enix on the official website of Final Fantasy Japan, producer Yoshinori Kitase gave a little sneak peek about FFVII Rebirth. He also conveyed this message during an interview with Famicom.

“This year, Final Fantasy XVI will be released. Yoshida-P is also trying his best to develop it so please support him! Then, the development of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth that I'm currently working on is running faster. Wait for further news as you are curious about what unforgettable scenes are in the game. There are also some announcements that I can't convey yet,” said Kitase.

The message above is one of four delivered by Yoshinori Kitase. Even though Kitase had mentioned Yoshida-P or Naoki Yoshida in his comments, Yoshida was not involved in the development of FFVII Rebirth at all. He only focused on FFXVI which will be released this year. What kind of unforgettable scenes will be in FFVII Rebirth later? FFVII Rebirth is releasing for PS5 in winter 2023!
