Anime movie Yuri!!! on Ice: Ice Adolescence canceled production, as announced by its official website on Friday, April 19th 2024. This production cancellation was announced by the film production committee and anime studio MAPPA after various internal considerations.

Yuri!!! on Ice: Ice Adolescence movie project was first announced in April 2017. The original 12-episode anime series premiered in Japan in October 2016, with Crunchyroll streaming the series simultaneously as each new episode premiered as well. Funimation also broadcast an English dub version, and later released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in February 2018.

In September 2019, the film's announcement staff postponed its release date from 2019. The announcement at the time stated that the delay was made "to increase the content beyond what was originally planned."

The official Twitter account for the movie posted a statement in English about the movie's production progress in 2020, stating that production on the film was still ongoing with the aim of further enriching the movie, however the staff stated that they had not yet reached "a stage where we can announce a release date ."

Despite announcing this movie project several years ago, the cancellation of production disappointed many fans who had been waiting for the continuation of Yuri!!! on Ice’s story.
