HoYoverse announces that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.1 "Deburan Ombak Kala Menyapa" (The Waves of Greeting) will be released on July 16, 2025. This summer-themed update will feature the Season 2 Chapter 2 Main Story, which focuses on the Spook Shack Faction, and introduce the new areas of Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort. In addition to various exciting events, Proxies can also delve into the secrets beneath the waves and enjoy a wonderful summer filled with friendship and exciting adventures.

In Version 2.1, Proxies can explore two new areas: Sailume Bay and Fantasy Resort, which will be open to players. Sailume Bay, located beneath the cliffs of Failume Heights, will be a key location in the Chapter 2 story. Here, Porcelumex actively conducts security investigations to defuse the conflict sparked by the Exaltist incident.

The Inspection Team consists of Alice Thymefield, a descendant of the noble Thymefield family, who later joins the Spook Shack. Meanwhile, the summer story begins at the Fantasy Resort, surrounded by sandy beaches, swaying coconut trees, and a vibrant holiday atmosphere, perfect for a variety of summer activities and a mysterious story waiting to be unveiled.

Two prominent Agents from Spook Shack will join the fray. Ukinami Yuzuha is a Tier-S Support Agent with a clever Physical attribute. She summons her partner, Kama, to hurl candy bombs at enemies and increase Agent Anomaly Buildup on the battlefield. Her signature Sweet Scare ability can adapt to the Controlled Agent's attributes through the Flavor Match mechanism, significantly increasing the Anomaly Buildup Rate and triggering Aftershock.

Alice Thymefield is the newest member of Spook Shack and a Tier-S Physical Attribute Anomaly Agent. As a noble heir, she uses sword techniques to move nimbly across the battlefield while collecting Blade Etiquettes. Alice can increase her Assault and Disorder DMG by consuming Blade Etiquettes.

Additionally, the graceful Tier-S Bangboo Miss Esme will float by the Agents' side, producing buffs that restore Energy or HP. Hoshimi Miyabi (Tier-S Frost Attribute Anomaly Agent) and Tsukishiro Yanagi (Tier-S Electric Attribute Anomaly Agent) will return in Version 2.1.

The once-magnificent Fantasy Resort now awaits redevelopment. Proxies will work with the members of Spook Shack to renovate the resort through a series of water activities.

Proxies can enjoy surfing while avoiding obstacles and utilizing buff items, or board a yacht and take on exciting sea shooting challenges on a journey around the charming island. Improved fishing challenges now offer wider waters, a variety of new species, and more comfortable interactions, providing a relaxing yet diverse experience.

In addition to summer activities, stylish summer outfits will also be available for Yuzuha, Alice, and the Protagonist siblings. The Chess Legend "EhnNa" will also be available with a PVP mode. Additionally, the Fierce Combat Training Simulation will also be updated with a new scoring system that will provide a platform for battle-loving Proxies to showcase their skills.
