Recently, EA and DICE announced a new game titled Battlefield 2042. The first trailer that was shared shows a large-scale war taking place on land, water, and air. Various locations in the world also appear in the trailer ranging from urban areas, Antarctica, to the desert. Interestingly, there will also be natural disasters during the gameplay
Citing Polygon.com, EA has prepared three multiplayer modes for Battlefield 2042. The first mode is All-Out-Warfare which is a traditional Battlefield mode. This mode will be divided into Conquest and Breakthrough. After that, there is the Hazard Zone which is a new mode. DICE confirmed that this mode is not a battle royale mode. The third mode is still in the development stage and will be revealed later.
In terms of maps, DICE has prepared a super large map with destructive natural disasters such as hurricanes and sandstorms. This natural disaster will later have an impact on the players. For the number of players, the new map in Battlefield 2042 can accommodate 128 players at once.
DICE also promises 10 classes or specialists that players can choose from. There are 4 specialists that have been revealed by DICE, namely Casper who is a recon specialist, Webster Mackay assault specialist, Maria Falck support specialist, and Boris engineer specialist.
More details on Battlefield 2042 will be revealed at the EA Play event on 22 July 2021. This game will be released on 22 October 2021 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
