The join of mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after being announced in Ms. Marvel as the first mutant to appear, it is possible that other mutants will arrive. One of the mutants that is quite difficult to beat even by the X-Men is Apocalypse. It was predicted that even though he had been killed many times, Apocalypse could still live. There are many surprising facts about Apocalypse that can only be found in comics.
The Dunia Games team will discuss some surprising facts about Apocalypse that you must know if you like Marvel. Let's see in more detail.
1. The Second Oldest Mutant To Be Daredevil's Enemy
Apocalypse is the second oldest mutant after Selene. According to the comics, he was born in ancient Egypt for centuries in human history, but in his creation in the comics, actually he was only created at the last minute to replace the villain of Daredevil. That's because X-Factor author Bob Layton had to leave the book before The Owl was revealed as the villain. So the new writer, Louise Simonson, created a new villain to replace The Owl, Apocalypse on the last page of X-Factor #5.
2. His Designs Influenced the Egyptian Princess Ahmanet
Alex Kurtzman is in the process of finalizing pre-production for the upcoming movie, The Mummy. But unfortunately, it was then that he noticed that Apocalypse's design in Days of Future Past was very similar to the one they planned to use as the villain of The Mummy. And with that, Mummy is now turned into a woman. The Mummy is an Egyptian princess named Ahmanet, and played by Sofia Boutella.
3. Professor Xavier Killed Him
In Beyond Good and Evil (Part 4), Apocalypse manages to kidnap all of the most powerful psychics in the Marvel universe. He brought them to his fortress which is beyond time. When the X-Men manage to free the psychics, Professor Xavier leads them all against the Apocalypse, and since they are no longer bound by the rules, their paranormal powers increase greatly, and they wipe out Apocalypse's body along with its existence.
4. Magneto Once Kills Him Tragically
In the Age of Apocalypse series, Legion accidentally makes Apocalypse take over much of America, by having Magneto lead the X-Men in a rebellion against him. Magneto and his X-Men find a way to go back in time and stop Legion from messing things up. Apocalypse, knowing that, kidnapped Magneto and brought him to his fortress. But luckily Magneto was able to break free, and was also able to defeat Apocalypse by successfully tearing his body into two.
5. Cyclops and Jean Gray Will Kill Him in the Future
Knowing Nathan Summers is infected with the Techno-Organic virus, Cyclops sends him to the future so he can be healed. But it turns out to be a wrong move, because in The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, Cyclops and Jean Gray's consciousness has been transported to the future, and they inhabit a new cloned body assigned to protect Nathan Summers from the Apocalypse. In the last issue of the series, Cyclops, Jean Gray and Nathan were able to kill Apocalypse in the future.
6. Saved Professor Xavier's Life
Once upon a time, Professor Xavier was shot by a man who looked like Cable, and he was infected with the Techno-Organic virus. When Xavier is dying, the X-Men get into conflict with Cable's mutant team, known as the X-Force. While this was happening, Stryfe attacked Apocalypse, it was because he was already weakened from his previous fight with the X-Men. That made Apocalypse desperate and sought refuge from the X-Men. In exchange for the X-Men's protection, Apocalypse saves Xavier's life.
7. Fought Dracula
In the mini-series X-Men: Apocalypse vs. Dracula, Dracula once tried to kill the entire Akkaba clan (descendants of Apocalypse). To stop the entire sect from being turned into vampires, they are forced to awaken Apocalypse. With Van Helsing's help, Apocalypse was able to learn the weaknesses of the vampires and destroy them. He managed to defeat Dracula, at the sacrifice of most of the Akkaba clan members.
8. Later Will Be Cyclops Brothers
In X-Men #23, Mister Sinister hints that there is a third Summers sibling that neither Scott nor Alex are aware of. The identity of this third sibling was planned to be a number of different individuals over the years, like Gambit and Adam X, and it was revealed to be a new character, named Gabriel Summers. Robert Weinberg intended to reveal the identity of Summers' third brother during the run of Cable, and he had planned Apocalypse to be the third or half brother of the Cyclops.

9. Can Create Omega Level Mutants
One of the most significant relationships that Apocalypse had was with a human named Nathaniel Essex. When he was impressed by Essex's knowledge of genetics, he transformed him into the person he became known as Mr. Sinister, or Omega level Mutant. Surely that's an impressive feat, as Mister Sinister is one of the most powerful creatures, and also hard to kill in the entire Marvel universe.
10. Having Descendants
Apocalypse is known to have reproduced with multiple females over the centuries. His children must have inherited some of his abilities which would have been very welcome in the Akkaba Clan. There are several descendants of Apocalypse who have become members of the X-Men, and are also part of their training team. Like Jonothon Starsmore, also known as Chamber, one of the mutants who was once a member of the Akkaba Clan, but refused and preferred to join the New Warrior.
11. Stolen and Used Celestial Technology
Apocalypse once found an abandoned Celestial ship, and he spent years uncovering the secrets of the Celestials. One of the Celestial technologies that he succeeded in creating, was the rejuvenation chamber. It allows him to rest for a very long time, so that later after awakening he will become stronger. Surely that is a reason why he did not exist in much past history.
12. A Drug Addict
In Uncanny X-Force #18, it is revealed that Apocalypse has been binging on opium in the past. But it is possible that Apocalypse needed the drugs to survive for centuries. Even so, his power remains the same as the other mutants. Unfortunately he's also unlike the other immortals in the Marvel universe, as Apocalypse wasn't born immortal, so it's clear he might need opiates and other substances to keep his sanity a bit.
13. Fought Iron Man's Giant Robot Form
In 2000, in the Marvel Mangaverse, he is described as an enemy of the Avengers, with the intention of eliminating the human world. Intending to find a way to defeat the Avengers, Apocalypse discovers the location of the Avengers' storage facility and decides to destroy it. He turns into a giant form and tries to destroy the building. Apocalypse is disappointed to find only Iron Man's clothes inside the facility, but it turns out that it transforms and fuses with Iron Man, turning him into one giant robot.
14. X-Men vs Street Fighter’s Last Boss
The existence of a crossover between the X-Men and characters from the Street Fighter series, led to the creation of the game X-Men vs Street Fighter in 1996. Capcom decided that Marvel characters would be more suitable as final bosses for the game. Thus, Apocalypse was chosen as the final boss. At the start of the fight, he can transform into a giant form, which can occupy a large part of the game screen.
15. Oscar Isaac Suffered So Much Playing as Apocalypse
How come? Oscar Isaac was completely covered in prosthetics for the role, and what's worse is that it can take hours to apply and is overwhelming for the actor who wears it. Plus the costumes are also very hot to wear, making Oscar Isaac have to cool down first before it's his turn to take pictures and scenes. Unfortunately, from the reviews, the results of his role are not good and not impressive.
