Katarina's web novel, titled Shangri-La Frontier is getting an anime and game adaptation next year. Kodansha Comics is publishing a manga adaptation by Ryosuke Fuji based on the novel Shangri-La Frontier.
The cast of the Shangri-La Frontier anime are:
- Yuma Uchida as Sunraku/Rakuro Hizutome
- Azumi Waki as Saiga 0/Rei Saiga
- Yoko Hikasa as Arthur Pencilgon/Towa Amane
- Makoto Koichi as Oicazzo/Kei Uomi
- Rina Hidaka as Emul
- Akio Ohtsuka as Viceash
Toshiyuki Kubooka (Harukana Receive, Wandering Witch - The Journey of Elaina) is directing the Shangri-La Frontier anime at studio C2C along with assistant directors Hiroki Ikeshita, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black Clover, Dropkick on My Devil!, Hetalia The Beautiful World, In the Land of Leadale, Record of Ragnarok) supervised and scripted the series. Ayumi Kurashima (DEVILMAN crybaby, Megalobox 2: Nomad) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. monaca is responsible for composing the music.

Netmarble Nexus is the developer of the game, and Netmarble is the company that publishes it.
Katarina published the Shangri-La Frontier novel series on the website Shosetsu-ka ni Naro ("Let's Be Novelists") in May 2017. Katarina is also writing an additional series of novels in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The series tells the story of a female hero named Saiga 0, who is a top player of "Shangri-La Frontier."
Fuji launched the Shangri-La Frontier ~Kusoge Hunter, Kamige ni Idoman to su~ (Shangri-La Frontier ~ Crappy Game Hunter Challenges God-Tier Game) manga in Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2020.
