On February 27th, 2020, the Pokemon franchise will be 25 years old. Before the first Pokemon anime released on April 1st, 2997, Pokemon Red and Green were released first on February 27th, 1996. Currently Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, and Game Freak are planning to hold an event to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
You have to know, Pikachu’s face was once used as the celebratory logo during the franchise’s 20th anniversary. Next year, Pikachu’s face is confirmed to return, with the addition of 2 and 5 on Pikachu's cheeks. To be honest, the 20th anniversary seems more creative.

On the logo, all the Pokemon from the first generation to the fifth are seen, including Pikachu itself. While the anniversary logo is only Pikachu’s face without any tweaks. Even so, the important thing is how will this anniversary be celebrated. Stay tuned for further news!
