Tencent: "Arena of Valor has Officially Joined SEA Games 2019"

Arena of Valor has officially become the game to be competed in the 2019 SEA Games. Will other game candidates also follow?

Previously, Arena of Valor (AOV) has been announced to be a game contested in the 2019 SEA Games, but it was still in evaluation stage. Now, AOV has officially joined the SEA Games 2019 after Tencent announced it some time ago.

Hou Miao, Business Director of Tencent Esports, said that Arena of Valor (international title of Honor of Kings), will become the official game title of the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines

"In one aspect, esport has developed into various fields, reaching many fans and to those who are not esport activists," said Miao.

"On the other hand, esport industry has got a lot of appeal from investors, international industries, and well-known companies," he added.

In addition, Tencent will also expand AOV  into a multimedia franchise, with products in the form of movies, television series, and music. They will also partner with Chinese media entertainment company, Kaixin Mahua, to produce several performances of exclusive Arena of Valor drama, and will also hold symphony concert tours in China.

Arena of Valor has officially become a game contested at the SEA Games 2019. Will the games announced earlier also get a green light like AOV too?
