Through the new policy from Chinese government, Tencent forced to stop PUBG mobile service. What’s going on exactly?
PUBG Mobile surely is a game everyone talked about. Even though, some people declined its appearance. One example is the recent incident in China, where Tencent recently stopping the service for the Battle Royale game.
This is due to the new policy from Chinese government who cause Tencent cannot get any profit from the game. Reporting from Reuters, Tencent decided to take action by changing the name to Game for Peace.
Even though it’s similar to PUBG Mobile, actually Game for Peace is not that violence by reducing the blood intensity produced. Interesting thing in this game is game is every player progress from PUBG Mobile are transferred into this new game. This is showing that Tencent don’t want to lose their many loyal fans who is reported to reach 70 million active players everyday -- before it stopped.
The stopping of PUBG Mobile by Tencent is due to the new policy which is recently released by Chinese government to this mobile game in this April. TechCruch reported that this new policy is reducing gore elements in the game -- like the excessive blood.
