Happy Independence Day, Indonesia! If we’re talking about independence day, surely it won’t go that far from a tale of our ancestors during the warring times. You can understand their struggle back in the days for independence by watching these animes below.
10. Haifuri
Haifuri doesn’t set during the warring times, but it still has military elements in it. Haifuri or High School Fleet uses a cruising school that using World War warships.
Akeno Misaki is accepted into Blue Mermaid, a special navy force, and she becomes a captain of a destroyer ship named Harakaze. Because of something, her friends on different ships later turned on her and attack Akeno and her crew. You can expect thrilling fleet battles in Haifuri.

It is set in an isekai where this world currently in a war between two parties: Drifters and Ends. Each party can summon famous historical real-life figures to fight such as Oda Nobunaga, Hannibal Barca, and Jeanne d'Arc.

Fullmetal Alchemist’s world based on Europe’s Industrial Revolution. Sets in a fictional world where alchemy is one of the most advanced technologies. It tells about two Elric brothers: Edward and Alphonse Elric, who is on the search for philosopher stone to cure their damaged body after a failed attempt to resurrect their deceased mother to life using alchemy.

Fantasy elements like magic that combined with military elements at first sound weird, but after this anime for episodes, those things become the anime’s selling point.
This anime tells about Tanya Degurechaff, a military girl who is famous for her cruelty due to her dictatorship. Previously, she is known as a Japanese salaryman who reincarnated and punished into a world full of conflicts because he doesn’t believe in God.

This war anime revolves around a war of giant robots. Break Blade’s story is similar to those war animes in general. What makes this thing special is the animations. All robot’s animations are drawn by hand. This anime is worth the watch.
