10. Battle Droid (Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace)

Battle Droid appeared in the Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace film which released in 1999. This Battle Droid is a combat droid that can be controlled from long distance and very effective to be used to fight the enemies because it is equipped with combat weapons and able to move freely like human. 2-1B Surgical Droid becomes the Droid that appears in several important scenes in Star Wars series. This Droid appeared in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empires Strikes Back when treating Luke Skywalker's broken right hand and also the one who made the costume for Darth Vader. The appearance of this Droid is easy to recognize because the face shape of 2-1B Surgical Droid is similar to a doctor who uses a special mask.

7. R2-D2 (Star Wars: Episode 7 - The Force Awakens)

The appearance of R2-D2 becomes the most influential Droid in the Star Wars series. Not only always help Luke Skywalker in controlling X-Wing, but also a very loyal and useful Droid. R2-D2 also earned title as the Hero Droid because it is capable of destroying Super Droid and able to fly and help Luke when in trouble. Unlike R2-D2 and other Droids, BB-8 has a round shape that moves by rolling its body. This BB-8 has many abilities similar to R2-D2. BB-8 also help the pilot, Poe Dameron when flying X-Wing. The BB-8 toys made by Sphero also popular and become the must-have toys for the Star Wars fans.

5. R5-D4 (Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope)

R5-D4 often called ‘Red’ by Luke Skywalker is an astromech Droid with a red and white stripes owned by a group of Jawas on Tatooine Planet in the early days of Galactic Civil War. This Droid is specialize in patrolling, observing enemies and attacking the enemies when they see them. Whenever the enemy comes, they will observe to a 360 degree angle, by launching a blaster shot very quickly. Unlike the Viper Probe droid, R5-D4 has a higher level of speed to numb the enemies quickly. This droid also appeared in the Star Wars: Battlefront game which was released back in 2015.

4. Probe Droid (Rogue One)

Probe Droid was first appeared in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, where this Droid is used to guard the Empire’s territory against the Rebel Alliance’s attack. Probe Droid can fly and allows it to move fast, especially in snowy areas and equipped with blasters that they used to fight the enemies. In the film, Probe Droid was defeated by Han Solo and Chewbacca who tried to invde the Empire.

3. C1-10P (Star Wars Rebels)

In the animated film series Star Wars Rebels which premiered last October 2014, apparently a new Droid named C1-10P was introduced. This animation series is expected to introduce the Star Wars franchise to the children, so that the quality of the graphics of the series and each character is not made like the previous animated series which is more serious. Now, the C1-10P droid, often called 'Chopper', is responsible to help his five colleagues in the series to carry out operations on Lothal, which is located on the Outer Rim far from the reach of the Empire's power. As the name suggests, this Droid is useful for charging every room in the region and the advantages are this Droid charger can run according to orders. If in the game Star Wars: Battlefront and Star Wars: Battlefront II, Power Droid is usually used to fill ammunition and other equipment.

1. C-3PO (Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope)

C-3PO is a Droid protocol bought by Luke Skywalker’s uncle, Owen, from the Jawas. C-3PO is a good friend of Droid R2-D2 who always accompanies him wherever he goes. This droid first appeared in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope which was released in 1977 together with R2-D2. This golden robot then helped Luke Skywalker's adventure as a Jedi knight to fight against the Empire’s tyranny.
