Eri becomes one of the most pitiful characters in Boku no Hero Academia. Even so, she has a horrifying quirk that will be very dangerous if misused. 1. Abandoned by Her Mother

Some of you might not pay much attention to the whole story about Eri. Eri’s mother is still alive. From here, we can assume that her mother has abandoned her. But, it's kinda impossible that her mother gave Eri up to someone like Overhaul.

No wonder that many people assumed that Overhaul killed her. But the truth is Eri’s mother did gave her up to Overhaul. This is because Eri accidentally used her Rewind quirk on her father and ended up killing him. Since then, her mother believed that Eri is a very dangerous being.

2. The Granddaughter of the Yakuza Boss

Eri is the granddaughter of the Yakuza boss, Shie Hassaikai. He handed over his granddaughter to Overhaul. However, the Yakuza boss was shocked when he learned about Overhaul’s treatment towards his granddaughter. Even so, he seemed to care more about what Overhaul was trying to achieve instead of what he has done to Eri.

3. Caring

After all Eri’s gone through, naturally she becomes an introvert. That is the most right thing to do for her to get comfort. Despite all of that, Eri is actually a very caring person.

We have seen numerous times that Eri repeatedly sacrificing herself for others. The first time Eri was first introduced, she ran to Overhaul so that the two people who she just met were not hurt by her. After that, she decided to fight alongside Deku to put an end to Overhaul action.

4. The Power of Her Blood

There are two methods to activate Eri’s quirk. First, she doesn’t know how but she unconsciously used it when she fight against Deku.

Another method is by using her blood. Eri’s quirk is actually activated by using her blood. Her blood is collected and transformed into a certain weapon like Overhaul did. If only Eri had mastered the first method, she could become a very dangerous fighter.

5. Similarities to Shigaraki Tomura

Do you see any similarities between Shigaraki and Eri? Could they be related? If we take a look, Eri and Shigaraki have the same hair color. Not only that, they also have red eyes

Another similarity is that their family was killed because their quirks. This leaves behind some tragic past for Eri and Shigaraki. What's more, their quirks are also rare.

6. Similarities to Inoue Orihime

Eri's quirk is actually similar to Inoue Orihime's Soten Kisshun from the Bleach anime. Eri can use her quirk as if it were a healing ability, in fact it is the ability to rewind time. Just like Orihime who can turn back time to restore one's condition before they are injured.

What is meant by talented here is that she has the potential to become a hero or strong fighter. All this time Eri has not been able to use her quirk as she wanted to. Eri has a quirk called Rewind. She has the ability to reverse a living individual’s body back to a certain time. This means that Eri can reverse someone’s body back to a previous state before they injured.

For example, Eri is able to reverse Mirio’s body back to the time before he lost his quirk. Unfortunately, this hasn’t happened yet because Eri hasn’t been able to control her quirk. Many fans are hoping that Mirio’s quirk can come back with Eri’s quirk.

10. Horn and Her Quirk

Some of you might not know what's the story behind Eri's horn. The horn is actually related to the quirk that she has. Her talent is not only in her blood, but also formed in her horn.

When her horn disappeared, then her quirk is most likely cannot be used. Maybe this is the reason why Eri still couldn’t use her quirk again until now.
