There’s this one thing that we always look forward to in October: looking for things related to horror because it’s almost Halloween. As a warm-up ahead of Halloween, it’s a great idea to play horror games.

1. Maid of Sker

Maid of Sker is a horror game adapted from a real-life story. The game developed by Wales Interactive asks the players to play a first-person survival game inspired by elements from Wales’s folklore. You will play through a psychological horror game with 3D noise-based AI system.

Besides the chilling atmosphere, you have to complete the puzzles. One thing for sure, this game will make your heart thumb!

2. Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is a horror game that is a prequel and a sequel. In the game, you will follow the journey of Agent York that is tasked with missions that will need your logic. Unlike other horror games, the game got a style that can be found in Stranger Things and Twin Peaks. The visual is great and the story is worth following.

3. Remothered: Broken Porcelain

After releasing Remothered: Tormented Fathers, Stormind Games returns with the sequel game Remothered: Broken Porcelain. The game was first announced on the opening night of Gamescom 2019 and tells the player about Ashmann Inn and the mysteries enveloping the building.

There are stalkers and powerful hunters roaming the Inn and they will hunt you down. Playing the game will require you to make quick decisions and be stealthy to roam past the halls and rooms and to trick the hunters. Remothered: Broken Porcelain is available starting 13 October 2020.

4. Resident Evil 3

After the success of Resident Evil 2 remake last year, Capcom released Resident Evil 3 remake on 4 April for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. As you can see from the title the game is a remake of Resident Evil 3 that was released in 1999 for PSX.

Like Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 remake keeps the third-person shooting gameplay. However, the animation and camera movement in the game feels slower than most shooting games. But that aspect helps add more scary element to the game.

5. The Dark Pictures: Little Hope

Next is The Dark Pictures: Little Jope, an anticipated horror game after the release of Man of Medan a while back. The game is about 4 students and a professor that was stranded in a fictional town named Little hope after a bus accident. Here you are taken to the historic witch-hunting in 1692. Dark Pictures Anthology series is based on real horror stories that happened in the past.

Unfortunately, The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is not available until 30 October 2020.

6. The Last of Us Part 2

The Last of Us Part II is the most anticipated game by the fanes. The game developed by Naughty Dog is set five years after the first game. Ellie that was partnered with Joel is the main character now. When the first trailer came out, we got to see the community where Ellie and her girlfriend Dina lives.

Ellie and Dina encountered a lot of things. Until finally Ellie lost one of the people she treasured the most and decided to avenge him. The game got a bunch of updates and the gameplay is tenser with an unexpected plot.

7. Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a spinoff from the Sniper Elite series. The game offers a gameplay in a first-person perspective and an awesome storyline. Set in the 1940s during the fall of Adolf Hitler. You are faced with the zombie corpse of Hitler’s army. The game is different from your normal Sniper Elite game since it got the horror and scary approach.

8. Predator: Hunting Grounds

Predator: Hunting Grounds is an FPS game released in April 2020. The game got a challening gameplay involving 4 players as a member of the elite Fireteam, in a battle against a player in the Predator team. This game is different from other multiplayer FPS games since you have to survive against the Predator who got advanced technology.

9. Phasmophobia

Phasmophobia is one of the most talked horror games recently. The game developed by Kinetic Games made a lot of gaming YouTuber shriek because of how scary the game is. In this game, you are playing as a member of a ghost hunting team. And you can play the game with three other players.

The main focus of Phasmophobia is to to catch the ghost by looking at the signs and using every equipment that the team have.

10. Doom Eternal

The final game on the list is from Bethesda, Doom Eternal. Doom Eternal present a lot of changes in the weapon effect that will wow the players. Not to mention there will be monsters that makes a surprise entrance and the music to make everything in the game darker.
