1. Trained at His Grandfather’s Dojo from an Early Age 

Manjiro Sano is a great fighter from an early age, but that's not because Mikey is born to a fighter race like in Dragon Ball. The secret to Manjiro Sano's strength is that he practiced diligently since childhood. He trained at his grandfather's dojo.

Keisuke Baji, Mikey's best friend since childhood, often trains with him at the dojo. Thanks to their training at the dojo, Mikey and Baji can fight even when they are outnumbered.

2. First Met Draken in Elementary School

Manjiro Sano or Mikey's friendship with Ryuguji Ken or Draken began when they were both in elementary school. Draken who live in the red light district are accustomed to the world of delinquents and violence. Draken also has been fighting middle schoolers when he was in elementary school, but he lost when he was outnumbered.

Since elementary school, Mikey has been very good at fighting, Mikey helped Draken fight the middle schoolers who ganged up on him. Hime being young and smaller doesn’t stop him from beating up all the kids who are ganging up on Draken, and that’s how their friendship started.

In the beginning, Tokyo Manji was founded because Baji wanted to help Kazutora fight Black Dragon. The Shinto shrine became the place where Touman was founded, so Touman often holds events in front of the shrine's gates, such as the coronation of a new division head for example.

5. Hawk Maru is His Prided Moped

To form a motorcycle gang, you need a motorcycle, but Manjiro Sano or Mikey only rode a red moped when he was in middle school. The moped was named Hawk Maru and it had a swastika logo.

Mikey confidently rode around with Hawk Maru even if it was slow, Mikey even threatened to kill a motorcycle gang member from Yokohama if they dared to touch Hawk Maru. When it ran out of gas, Baji, who lost a game, was forced to push Hawk Maru to a gas station but was surrounded by the same gang.

He protected Hawk Maru from getting destroyed by the game until Mikey arrived and kicked his own moped instead. Mikey treasured his friendship with Baji more than his moped, Mikey fought the gang alongside Baji and it became a memorable moment for Baji.

6. Wants a Bigger CB250T Motorcycle

Actually, Manjiro Sano really wants a big black motorcycle called the CB250T. Mikey considers Hawk Maru to be the 50 cc version of CB250T.

Mikey's friend named Kazutora also took the initiative to look for a CB250T as a birthday present for him, even though he had to steal and break into a motorcycle shop.

 7. His Older Brother Died

Kazutora and Baji who stole a CB250T caused Manjiro Sano to lose his older brother named Shinichiro Sano. Not realizing that the motorcycle shop he broke into belonged to Shinichiro, Baji, who was shocked when he was caught stealing the bike, failed to stop Kazutora who had already hit Shinichiro's head with a plier.

The impact instantly killed Shinichiro, and when he realized he had killed Mikey’s brother, Kazutora was shaken. He was so traumatized that he blamed Mikey for everything.

8. Nicknamed Invincible Mikey

His expertise in fighting earned him a nickname Muteki Mikey or Invincible Mikey. His secret to winning every fight is to enjoy it.

His calm personality always intimidates his enemies before they fight Mikey. The cold gaze of Tokyo Manji’s leader can scare anyone.

9. The Polar Opposite of Takemichi

Although he is very close to Tokyo Revengers' main character Takemichi Hanagaki, his personality is the polar opposite. If Takemichi is weak physically but strong mentally, Mikey is the opposite.

Being physically strong and good at fighting doesn't make Mikey mentaly as strong as Takemichi, Mikey was visibly shaken when he lost his brother, Shinichiro Sano. Vengeance seemed to overwhelm him to kill Kazutora. Bloody Halloween, which is told by future Draken, is an incident on 31 October 2005 where Mikey beats Kazutora to death in a brawl against Valhalla.
