1. Jason Voorhees - Friday the 13th

Jason Voorhes himself becomes popular with Friday the 13th film that was first released in 1980. Before transforming into a monster that spread terror, Jason Voorhes was a child with a physical and mental abnormality. Jason Voorhes is depicted as a butcher wearing a hockey mask, almost unkillable, and a brutal serial killer.

2. The Payday Gang - Payday 2

There’s nothing scarier than seeing a group of bad guys wearing a mask and brutally robbing a bank. But this is what we will see in the first-person shooter (FPS) game, Payday 2. This crime game asks you to finish robbery jobs, making drugs, and killing innocent civilians.

3. Meta Knight - Kirby

Meta Knight is one of the characters in the Kirby series released by Nintendo. He first appeared in the Kirby's Adventure game released in 1993, as an anonymous character left there until the Kirby's Avalanche game. This character also appears in several Kirby comic books, in the 2001 anime series, and in the Super Smash Bros. series. Meta Knight is a mysterious but respectable swordsman who follows the knight's code; This is exemplified when he gave Kirby a sword to fight. Corvo Attano comes from a humble background and when he was an adult hi appointed to become the guard of the royalty by Euhorn Kaldwin, the father of Jessamine that later get into a relationship with Corvo. Unfortunately, Jessamine is murdered by Burrows and Corvo is tasked to protect Emily, the heir to the kingdom. Corvo is given a mask to avenge Jessamin. Corvo then turns into a deadly killing machine.

6. Scorpion dan Sub Zero - Mortal Kombat

Scorpion and Sub-Zero are the two iconic masked characters from the Mortal Kombat franchise. Although both characters wear a mask, they have different powers. Sub-Zero’s power is ice, while Scorpion’s power is fire. Not to mention their fighting style is different.

7. Vega - Street Fighter

Vega or Barlog is a masked fighter from Spain with a bag of fighting tricks. With his agile moves, Vega equips himself with claws. Vega first appeared in Street Fighter II as one of the bosses the players have to face. Vega almost exists in every game. This man believes that beauty is the true form of power, and he thinks of himself as the symbol of perfection.

8. Gray Fox - Metal Gear 

For Metal Gear fans, the name Gray Fox must be familiar. His debut as the boss of the first MGS invites awe. So it’s nothing unusual that this character appears in the next MGS game. Gray Fox’s advantages lie in his cool appearance and great abilities. The ninja that challenges Solid Snake even dares to trade punches. 

9. Ryu Hayabusa - Ninja Gaiden

In 1998 Koei Tecmo releases Ninja Gaiden with Ryu Hayabusa as its protagonist. The success of Ryu Hayabusa brought him back years later in the Dead or Alive series developed by Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. This character is part human and dragon and uses a weapon named Dragon Sword, he is also the leader of the Hayabusa clan.

10. Shy Guy - Mario dan Yoshi

Shy Guy is a character identic to the Super Mario and Yoshi franchise. This character is famous for the white mask. Shy Guy first appeared in Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic, one of the games that don’t come from the Mario franchise. Later on, Nintendo introduces Shy Guy as an enemy in one of the stages in the Super Mario Bros 2 series.
