Chun Li (Street Fighter)

There are no fighting game fans who don’t know Chun Li. She is recognized as the most iconic Chinese character in the video game world. First appearing in the game Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (1991), Chun Li brought a breakthrough in fighting games as the first female playable character in a fighting game.

To avenge her dead father, Chun Li travels the world as part of Interpol. She is always seen wearing traditional Chinese clothing and honing the traditional martial arts of her home country.

Zhao Yun (Dynasty Warriors)

Dynasty Warriors is a game that is inspired by one of the historical moments in China, namely the “Three Kingdoms” era. One of its most popular characters is the trusted general of Liu Bei, Zhao Yun.

In the said video game, Zhao Yun is depicted as a 24 years old young man who is strong, manly, and loyal. He mastered an agile fighting style using a spear.

Even though there are characters stronger than Zhao Yun, his popularity makes him the mascot of the Dynasty Warriors franchise.

Ada Wong (Resident Evil)

Not only Resident Evil fans, gamers who have never played the Resident Evil game may have heard her name. This Chinese-American woman is one of the oldest Resident Evil characters who has appeared since Resident Evil 2 (1998).

Apart from being beautiful and sexy, fans also like Ada Wong for her courage. She is described as a brave agent, even risking her life to save Leon Scott Kennedy.

Chou (Mobile Legends)

Chou, also known as "Kung-Fu Boy", is one of the many Chinese characters in the Mobile Legends. He is very popular among players, even often included as one of the best Fighters in the game.

According to the in-game story, Chou grew up in a slum in Antoinerei in poverty. He learned Kung-Fu from a monk he had saved, and he was committed to using his strength only to help people in need.

Ling (Mobile Legends)

There is no doubt that Ling is one of the strongest and most popular Assassins in Mobile Legends to date. This 21 years old man is a swordsman with an agile fighting style.

Keqing (Genshin Impact)

According to the in-game story, Keqing is one of the characters from Liyue, a region inspired by the Chinese plains. Zhongli (Genshin Impact)

If Keqing is the most popular female character from Liyue, then the most popular male character falls to Zhongli. Since he was first introduced in Genshin Impact, Zhongli has become a phenomenal character that everyone is talking about, even being covered by some local television stations.

He is described as the perfect 'husband' for women: handsome, tall, intelligent, polite, and the list goes on. Like Keqing, he is also a 5-star character, but with a polearm as his weapon and Geo as his element.

Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken)

Following Chun Li, Ling Xiaoyu is described as an iconic female fighting character from China. This 16 years old girl also wears traditional Chinese clothes, is good at martial arts, and even has a pet panda named Panda.

Ling Xiaoyu debuted in Tekken 3 and became one of the players' favorite characters until now. Thanks to her small body, she can fight agilely, even able to beat large fighters.

Marshall Law (Tekken)

Still from Tekken series, it also has other Chinese characters, namely Marshall Law. He mastered the martial arts Jeet Kune Do, a martial arts invited by the legendary Chinese martial artist, Bruce Lee.

In the first three Tekken games, Marshall Law is a Chinese restaurant owner in America, making him known as "The Fighter Chef". He has a son named Forest Law, who is also a reliable fighter, and appears as a fighter in a few installments.

Kung Lao (Mortal Kombat)

The Chinese character from Mortal Kombat, Kung Lao, has a unique appearance that fighting game fans will always remember. He wears a wide hat, which is not just a fashion. His hat has steel around the edges and is used by Kung Lao as a weapon in kombat.
