Agatha Harkness has been the topic of many conversations after appearing in WandaVision. She was the mastermind behind what Wanda did in Westview. Interestingly, Agatha is a witch from old age. This proves that MCU has more witches that are yet to appear in MCU. Besides Agatha Harkness, there are other magicians just as great that live on Earth. Who are they? Find out on the list below.

1. Enchantress

The name Enchantress is the same as the female character from DC. But in the Marvel universe, Enchantress is a respected witch. Her real name is Amora, she is a witch from Asgard. Enchantress joined Thor as Avengers for years and became one of the founders of Masters of Evil

2. Magik 

Illyana Rasputina or Magik is Colossus’s sister. When she was young, she was kidnapped and taken to Limbo. There, Illyana learned magic from a mutant known to take over a dimension named Belasco. She then successfully returns to her real world and becomes a member of the modern X-Men. Since then, Illyana is known as Magik and the queen of Limbo. With her magical power, Magik can summon a demon army from Limbo.

3. Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange is a popular sorcerer in the Marvel universe. He obtained his power after learning from his teacher, Ancient One. Doctor Strange can also control the Time Stone, one of the Infinity Stones. With his great power, Doctor Strange earned the title of Sorcerer Supreme.

4. Scarlet Witch

Next is Scarlet Witch, one of the strongest witches in the Marvel universe. There are many versions of Scarlet Witch’s power. In the comic book, Scarlet Witch was born as a mutant with the ability to manipulate probability with a magic called Hex. in the MCU, Wanda Maximoff obtained her power after interacting with the Mind Stones. Wanda Maximoff or Scarlet Witch is said to be the greatest witch that will shake the MCU.

5. Wiccan 

William 'Billy' Kaplan or Wiccan is one of Scarlet Witch’s reincarnated sons. He is also the founder of Young Avengers. With his brother Speed, Wiccan gathers the members of Young Avengers. As a frontliner, Wiccan has great power. His powers are similar to Thor and Scarlet Witch. From magic, the ability to fly, and jump through realities.

6. Hela

Hela is the strongest witch from Asgard and regarded as the Goddess of Death. Although her ability might seem similar to Loki, Hela’s ability is stronger. Her magical abilities allow her to create a more convincing illusion. She demonstrated her power in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes in The Fall of Asgard episode, when Hela created an illusion of Captain America to convince the Avengers to remain on Hel. 

In MCU, Hela revived the dead Asgardian army to fight with her. You can only imagine how terrifying magical ability is.

7. Ancient One

Doctor Strange won’t be as great as he is today without Ancient One. The teacher and guide of Stephen Vincent Strange was one of the most influential figures even in the films. Even Thanos didn’t dare to come to Earth when Ancient One was still alive. It's no wonder that the Ancient One's strength counts so much. Ancient One was a mysterious figure who lived since the 1450 and held the title of Sorcerer Supreme for centuries.

8. Shamhat Saraswati

Far before Ancient One existed, in 15.000 years BC, lived a great sorceress named Shamhat Saraswati. She was the great priestess of Oshtur chosen by Agamotto to hold the second Sorcerer Supreme title on Earth.

9. Zhered-Na

Zhered-na was a sorceress of Atlantis who lived in 19.000 BC. She was one of the most powerful sorceresses to ever live one Earth before the pre-natural disaster era. She worked with the first Sorcerer Supreme, Agamotto, to solve the conflict between the Elder Gods.

She almost holds the title of Sorcerer Supreme thanks to her ability.

10. Agamotto

The greatest sorcerer is not Dr.Strange or the Ancient One but Agamotto. He was the first Sorcerer Supreme in Marvel’s history. During his time as the Sorcerer Supreme, Agamotto created several magical artifacts used by the Ancient One and Dr. Strange, such as Eye of Agamotto and the Orb of Agamotto.

Agamotto was also one of the Vishanti alongside his mother who was the Elder Goddess of Oshtur and Hoggoth. Hoggoth is an extra-dimensional entity who protected the Earth for billions of years.
