High Damage and Defense

Aulus has incredible damage and defense -- which is understandable given his role as a  Fighter. This means Aulus is an amazing initiator for the team.

As a Fighter who relies on his skills to kill his targets, Aulus is blessed with vast AoE, especially his Ultimate. In team fights, Aulus can easily hit multiple targets.

Another advantage of playing Aulus is his high mobility. With his skill Aulus, Charge!, he can gain an (up to) 55% additional Movement Speed. With the bonus Movement Speed, Aulus can easily close in on his targets, or escape from them.

Scales Well into the Late Game Phase

Aulus is a Fighter who seems to be specifically designed for the late game phase as every time he levels up his Ultimate, Aulus will receive additional attributes. Therefore, Aulus needs to level up often to reach his potential -- and he’s far stronger once you’ve reached his max level and got all of the core items.

Low Difficulty Level

Unlike most Fighters in the game, which require the player to learn complex combos, Aulus is rather easy to use given his easy-to-grasp skills and gameplay. New players can easily maximize Aulus’ potentials without having to learn how to pull off complex combos.

Lacks Crowd Control

Aulus has a rather weak CC as he can only slow down his targets with his Skill 1 and Ultimate.

Confusing Role: Tank or Fighter?

Despite having high damage and defense, Aulus can be quite confusing for new players, as they may be confused about whether to use him as a Fighter or Tank. When you use Aulus as a Fighter, he’ll be more squishy -- and vice versa.

Weak in the Early Game

Another drawback from playing Aulus is that he’s considerably weak in the early game. As mentioned above, Aulus needs to level up quickly to receive additional attributes. And, his skills are weak in the early game.

Not That Formidable in Team Fights
