Nothing compares to the excitement when our favorite anime song is being played on a Japanese event, or on the radio, or at a karaoke place. Surely we will be dancing and humming along with those songs.

A popular anime site in Japan, Anime!Anime!, has conducted a survey for its readers to pick anime songs that they often sing at karaoke. In total, 783 fans filled the survey; 59% are male, 41% are female fans. Age-wise, 56% are under the age of 19, 30% are in their 20s -- meaning this is a selection led by the younger set.

Well, from the many anime songs available, here are the titles that fill the top 10 anime songs in Japan!

10. Hare-Hare Yukai - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

The opening song is sung by Aya Hirano (Haruhi Suzumiya), Minori Chihara (Yuuki Nagato), and Gotou Yuuko  (Mikuru Asahina) is so fun to sing along to, especially with their dance moves.

9. Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari - Bakemonogatari

This song was composed by the Supercell’s frontman, Ryo, and was sung beautifully by  Nagi Yanagi. The almost a decade-old song has been around filling the days of the anime fans who never get sick of this song.

8. GO! - Naruto

"We are fighting dreamers!", there must be a lot of Naruto fans who get excited from listening to the song by Flow. Your lethargy will immediately vanish when you hear this song that’s considered to be the best in Naruto.

7. Welcome to Japari Park - Kemono Friends

The song has recently been on the rise because of its unique anime. It’s suitable to be sung in karaoke along with your friends since Welcome to Japari Park is so catchy and easy to sing.

6. Butter-Fly - Digimon Adventure

This one’s the legendary song of our childhood. This first opening song of Digimon is in every anime fans’ mind without them even thinking about the lyrics. It’s certainly one to sing along with friends.

5. Lion - Macross Frontier

Duo diva anime Macross, Megumi Nakajima (Ranka Lee) dan May’n (Sheryl Nome) ini benar-benar duet yang sangat indah. Mau fans serial Macross atau tidak, pasti kenal dengan lagu ini. Jadi, tidak perlu khawatir apabila kamu memilih lagu ini saat karaoke.

2. Only My Railgun - A Certain Scientific Railgun

The Runner-up of this song list. Only My Railgun was sung by Fripside. Almost everyone would recognize this anime song since it’s been played everywhere. But, honestly, it’s a very catchy song.

1. Cruel Angel's Thesis - Neon Genesis Evangelion

An anime song that crosses generations, considering it was first released in 1995 in Neon Genesis Evangelion and is now 23 years old! It deserves the title of the most sung anime song.
