It’s really annoying when we are playing games at a net cafe and the internet goes down. Fortunately, some pc games can be played offline.
Someway and somehow, several net cafes have the same offline games. So some of these games may sound familiar to your ears! What are they? Find out here.
1. Age of Empire II
Age of Empire is one of the popular real-time strategy games in 1997. Then in 1999, Microsoft alongside Ensemble Studios releases the sequel. Age of Empire II: Age of Kings is one of the best selling games that year.
Although the theme is considered “normal” in comparison to other RTS games, Age of Empire II is unique and memorable. Especially when we remember how we often play the game to wait for the internet to get connected again.
2. Battle Realms
Battle Realms is a real-time strategy game developed by Ubisoft last 2001. Using Japanese mythology, you will several iconic characters such as samurai, ninja, werewolf, and Geisha.
What makes Battle Realms unique is the four main clans, Dragon Clan, Serpent Clan, Wolf Clan, and Lotus Clan. Besides the single-player mode that offers an intriguing story, you can also play the multiplayer LAN feature.
3. Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
In the year 2000, Electronic Arts Games alongside Westwood Studios released Command & Conquer Red Alert 2. The real-time strategy game follows up the story of the first game. With a weird new technology, you have to take revenge on the Soviet troops that invaded the United States.
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 is popular at its time and becomes an alternative game to play when the internet is down.

The Sims is a life simulation game. Developed by Maxis and distributed by Electronic Arts, the game is fun when played with cheats. The Sims is one of the games that every net cafe PC has and one of the games we play when the internet is down.
5. Midnight Club II
Last 2003, Rockstar Games released Midnight Club II which becomes one of the best selling games at that time. In the game, you can experience street racing in the streets of Los Angeles, Paris, and Tokyo.
Starting your career from the bottom, you have to win every race to get more fame and become the international champion. Uniquely, Midnight Club II has no race rules, so make sure to use every shortcut, route, and method to win.

6. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
If you ask which game is the coolest during the net cafe days in the 2000s? The answer is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. the game by Rockstar has super cool gameplay, awesome graphics and sound, and great action.
Many gamers think that the game is cool because of the variation in the missions, initially, we are only asked to kill and destroy cars, but as time passes, we are asked to ride a, R/C helicopter to destroy a building, drive a plane to spread pamphlet, speed boat racing, steal a tank, and many more.
7. Need For Speed Underground 2
Need For Speed Underground 2 was released on 9 November 2004. The game published by EA reaps huge success both on console and PC. in Underground 2, the player will continue the journey in illegal street racing after conquering Olympic City and starts the first street race with Nissan 350z in Bayview.
The interesting thing about Need For Speed Underground 2 is the 31 cars that can be customized as we wish.
8. Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a single-player real-time tactic developed by a Spanish company Pyro Studios and published by Eidos Interactive. Set during world war 2 in Europe and Africa, you control a group of allied soldiers (and axis soldiers) to complete missions with small unit tactics.
Every Commando has its perk and weaponry. The main goal is to save the allied informant and executes the enemy. You guys must have spend a lot of time completing the missions while waiting for the internet to go back up.
9. StarCraft
In 1998, Blizzard Entertainment released a real-time strategy video game titled StarCraft. The game is about the war between the three galactic races, Terran; a nomad and adapting race and descendant of humans from earth, Zerg; an alien race that looks like insects, and Protoss; humanoid fighters with an advance technology compared to other species.
The game developed by Blizzard is popular because of the interesting and exciting gameplay.
10. Turok
Turok is a first-person shooter game developed by Night Dive Studios and published by Acclaim Entertainment in 1997. In the game, you are playing as Joseph Turok, an American soldier that’s on a mission to catch a mercenary where Joseph once joined.
You have to fight against dinosaurs. Although the game is tense, Turok is a popular game in net cafes.
