1. His Parents Are Pirates

Like most of the Straw Hats, Franky also has a bad past. As a child, he was abandoned by his parents when he was 4 years old because his parents were pirates.

From then on, he was taken by Tom and raised as a shipwright. Until now, it is unknown who Franky's biological parents are.

2. His Real Name

You need to know that Franky is not his real name, but Cutty Flam. Cutty Flam is the name given to him by his biological parents who left him sailing. The person who suggested Franky change his name was Iceberg because he thought Cutty Flam was a weird name.

3. The Iron Man

In Franky's wanted poster, he gets the nickname Tetsujin or Iron Man with furigana inscription. This furigana reads as a cyborg which earned him the nickname. It's not wrong because Franky is a cyborg, but the meaning of the writing on the wanted poster is an iron man with a different meaning.

After the time skip, the furigana was removed from his Tetsujin nickname until the pure meaning of being an iron man.

5. Shouting “Hentai” Instead of "Henshin" When Changing

In most Tokusatsu series, the protagonist will shout "Henshin" before changing. Henshin itself means "to change/ to transform". This is not done by Franky when combines his weapons. When transformed into Iron Shogun, Franky combines Kurosai and Brachio Tank.

At that time, Franky actually changes his form into the BF-3 Franky Shogun. The funny thing is, when Franky changes, he says Hentai, not Henshin. Even though they are both similar in pronunciation, but the meaning is not the same, as Hentai means "pervert".

8. Never Cover His Underwear

Underwear has become Franky's trademark outfit which makes him often considered a pervert. During his time with the Straw Hats, Franky never once covered his legs. Only once was Franky has seen wearing pants, which was in his flashback.

9. The Theory About His Father

There is a theory said that one of Shanks' crew is Franky's biological father. His name is currently unknown, but he has a dragon tattoo on his neck. He also wears sunglasses with long hair and broad shoulders like Franky. It doesn't seem strange that this person is also a cyborg, like Franky.

During the course of the story, Franky only experienced a single increase in his bounty. In the beginning, he had a bounty of 44 million Belly, after the time skip, his bounty increased to 94 million Belly.

12. His Height

Before the time skip, Franky was 225 cm tall. Currently, after the time skip, he is 240 cm.

13. His Age

For you, Franky might look the same age as Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji, right?. In fact, he's as old as grown-up adults who should have had children. Before the time skip, Franky was 34 years old. After the time skip, he is 36 years old.
