1. A Father of Two
Dragon Ball is a series that has a lot of violence and fights. However, aside from all the bloodshed, Dragon Ball also shows the daily life of its characters, since their pre-teen years to their fatherhood/motherhood.
Vegeta has two children. His first child is Trunks. In Dragon Ball Z and Super, Vegeta also has a daughter named Bulla.
In Dragon Ball GT, Bulla grows up to be a tomboy teenager.
2. Has a Younger Brother Named Tarble
Most fans are probably unaware of the fact that Vegeta actually has a younger brother named Tarble given that Vegeta never mentioned him throughout the series. Tarble was first introduced in the OVA, Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!! back in 2008.
Tarble isn’t a warrior like Vegeta; his lack of physical strength led to him being banished from his planet in his younger days. This explains why Tarble has never been mentioned in the Dragon Ball main series, and also why Vegeta is ambivalent towards him.
3. Is Yet to Lose to Goku
The rivalry between Goku and Vegeta also serves as the appeal of Dragon Ball Z for many fans. Their battles have always been the spotlights of the series. Even since their first encounter, Goku and Vegeta went straight to fighting -- which ended with Goku’s defeat.
The next battle took place when Vegeta transformed into a Great Ape, which helped him defeat his rival. Their third battle was also highly anticipated in the Buu Saga, and once again Vegeta prevailed.
Goku and Vegeta’s rivalry has always been shown throughout the series, and there’s still no clear winner between the two.
In Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta may have surpassed Goku especially when he reaches his ‘God’ status with his own effort. Even though it seems that Vegeta is always a step behind Goku, he always proves that he’s a worthy matchup for his rival.
4. Has His Own Super Saiyan Blue
In the Tournament of Power arc, there are so many surprises that managed to satisfy the fans, two of them were Goku and Vegeta’s new transformations.
After Goku showed his Ultra Instinct, Vegeta felt that he needed to come up with a similar thing. Although he can’t master that particular form, Vegeta managed to reach the new form of Super Saiyan Blue and seemed to be the only one who can reach that form.
The Super Saiyan Blue Evolved is a transformation that is much powerful than Goku’s Kaio-Ken Blue -- the aura is much brighter and blue than most Super Saiyan Blue.
5. Has the Ability to Channel Rage Super Saiyan
Super Saiyan has a lot of variants, that appear a few times throughout the series -- one of which is Vegeta’s Rage Super Saiyan.
This transformation was first introduced in Dragon Ball Super when Beerus insulted Bulma and slapped her. Seeing that, Vegeta quickly transformed into his Saiyan state.
Although he was technically using a Super Saiyan 2, this transformation gave him way more power, allowing him to go toe-to-toe with Beerus.
It also seems that Vegeta’s Rage Super Saiyan can also be passed down through generations as Trunks has shown the same technique when dealing with Goku Black and Zamasu.
6. Looks Similar to the First Super Saiyan God
There are not many details explained about the first Super Saiyan God in Dragon Ball. However, the silhouette of the first Super Saiyan God looks so similar to Vegeta. Therefore, there are a lot of fans who speculate that Vegeta came from the bloodline of the first Super Saiyan God.
7. Can Survive in Outer Space
In Dragon Ball Z, it‘s been known that a Saiyan cannot breathe in outer space, yet Vegeta disapproved this in the Saiyan Saga. A Saiyan cannot breathe in outer space for a prolonged period of time, yet they can still survive for a while.

8. He Once Defeated a God of Destruction
In the Tournament of Power, Vegeta has been able to get the best out of his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved. He was able to use his new ability to his advantage. And that’s why Vegeta was able to eliminate Top from the tournament.
Top initially appeared like a tough character -- he was even able to enter his God of Destruction mode. Despite that, Vegeta was able to defeat Top with relative ease.
9. Can Create a "Fake Moon"
In Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, the Great Ape transformation of the Saiyans becomes a crucial part of the series. However, as the story progresses, the transformation started to become rarer as more Saiyans get their tails removed.
Vegeta is one of the characters who has mastered the use of the Great Ape transformation. He can create an energy ball to simulate a moon effect. Aside from the devastating power it emits, the energy ball can also trigger any Saiyan like him to transform into a Great Ape.
10. Has a Full Control of His Great Ape Form
Great Ape is a transformation that grants its user a tremendous amount of power. Yet this transformation makes the user unable to think rationally, and sometimes lose control of their actions. However, Vegeta is the only Saiyan in the series who’s able to get full control of his consciousness while in his Great Ape form.
11. He Slain the Ginyu Force
Vegeta has slain almost the entire Ginyu Force during his time in Namek. Firstly, he killed Guldo. Then, after Goku defeated Recoome and Burter, Vegeta then annihilated the rest of them using his energy wave. Vegeta has also defeated Jeice in a fight.
12. Managed to Maintain His Majin
When he’s under Babidi’s influence, Vegeta sacrificed himself to save his family. After losing his Majin form, Vegeta was able to retain it through continued training. The result is similar to how Goku retains his Godly power after losing his Super Saiyan God.
13. Spirit Sword
One of Vegeta’s extraordinary abilities is his Spirit Sword, which he can create from using his Ki. He showed this technique for the first time when he turned into Vegito. The Spirit Sword is the most powerful weapon that was used against Majin Buu and Fused Zamasu.
Although Vegito was the only one who could use this technique, it seems that Vegeta is also able to create Spirit Sword using his energy. In the Tournament of Power arc of Dragon Ball Super, Vegeta uses Spirit Sword to avoid falling off the stage against Kale.
14. He’s Technically the King of Saiyans
Technically, Vegeta is the heir to the Saiyan throne. However, Frieza blew up his home planet. Thus, Vegeta had no reign anymore. With the death of King Vegeta after that, Vegeta was supposedly the successor of the throne -- meaning that, technically, Vegeta is the King of Saiyans.
15. Has a Wide Array of Different Outfits
A lot of anime characters wear the exact same outfit throughout the series, and this also applies to a lot of characters in Dragon Ball. Like Goku with his signature orange-blue outfit.
However, Vegeta has appeared donning a wide array of different outfits throughout the series. Vegeta’s Saiyan outfit keeps getting tighter over the course of the series, and he switches to casual outfits during his time on Earth.
Vegeta also wears a different outfit in the Buu Saga -- wearing a tank top and changing it in Dragon Ball Super.
