The success of Genshin Impact from MiHoYo made other mobile game developers prepare MMORPG games that are going to be released in 2021. 1. NieR Re[in]carnation

Speaking of RPG games, there an MMORPG game from an established franchise that will be released to mobile devices, NieR Re[in]carnation. Initially, NieR Re[in]carnation was slated to be released in 2020. But for some reason, Square Enix decided to postpone the release until 2021 in Japan.

The game itself is about a mysterious girl that wakes up on a rocky floor in a place full of towers. She is guided by a mysterious creature called Mama to find her long lost belonging and to atone her sins.

2. Seven Knights II

Seven Knights II is the sequel to a game by Netmarble that was announced in 2018. But so far there’s no new information about the sequel game. In the previous game, Seven Knights is an RPG game with a turn-based battle system with chibi characters. But in Seven Knights II, the genre is changed into action MMORPG.

3. Diablo Immortal

Next is Diablo Immortal, a mobile game developed from the partnership between Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase. The game was announced in Blizzcon 2018 and met massive rejection from the fans at that time, the fans were waiting for an announcement about Diablo 4 but instead received an announcement about Diablo Immortal.

Diablo Immortal is slated to be released in 2021.

4. Soul Worker Academia

In 2021, Genshin Impact may face a worthy opponent, Soul Worker Academia. The game by YJM Games is an action MMORPG game with good graphics. The game is set in a world that is invaded by creatures from another dimension. That’s why humanity has to defend the earth from them. When all hopes are lost, a group of teenagers appears to save the earth from the invasion.

5. Warhammer Odyssey

Tencent is reportedly in the middle of preparing anew MMORPG game on Android titled Reevolve. The game is claimed to be similar to the Monster Hunter franchise. Still, the mobile game has several unique features that set it apart. It is mentioned that in Reevolve the players can use multiple skills and look for friends to join a team to hunt down monsters.

There are other features such as farming and many more. Unfortunately, Tencent is yet to officially release Reevolve in Southeast Asia.

7. Trickster M 

Trickster M is an MMORPG game prepared by NCSoft that will be released in 2021. Trickster is an MMORPG game released on PC in 2003. The mobile game is similar to Lineage M. So it will have new features and some features from the PC version will be trimmed. The graphics of Trickster M is said to be better with a good UI.

8. Path of Exile M

Path of Exile is a free to play RPG game developed and published by Grinding Gear Games. At the moment, there’s no update about Path of Exile Mobile, but the chances are the game will be released in mid-2021.

9. Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

Who has never heard of Ni No Kuni? The unique game developed by Studio Ghibli will be released to mobile devices under the title Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds. The mobile game is said to retain its attraction. Despite it being a mobile MMORPG game, Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds will retain its visual style.

10. Odin Valhalla Rising

In 2019, Lionheart Studio announced their project titled Project Odin. The full title of the game is Odin Valhalla Rising. Dragon Nest 2 is a mobile MMORPG game and the sequel to Dragon Nest E. Tencent already released the game in China. But many gamers have tried the game. It seems like Dragon Nest 2 has better gameplay and graphics. Excitingly, the mobile game also has features such as dual-gender and weapon swap.

Let’s hope that Tencent releases Dragon Nest 2 officially in Southeast Asia in 2021.

13. Gran Saga

The next Genshin Impact competitor is Gran Saga. this mobile MMORPG game is developed by a new studio from Korea named NPIXEL. The game is about a group of knights tasked to save a kingdom from a dragon’s curse.

From what we can see, it seems like Gran Saga has a gameplay similar to Genshin Impact, where it focuses on action and beautiful graphics.

14. My Hero Academia Ultra Impact

Anime fans are familiar with My Hero Academia. With the success of the anime, now the franchise presents a mobile game titled My Hero Academia Ultra Impact. The game will have strategy turn-based and RPG gameplay. Uniquely, the game will present a chibby visual where the characters will have a giant head.
